Who makes Bag Balm. I just came from my Dermatologist, good news, he says I don't have ringworm. It's mummular Dermatitis and Schamberg's Puppura. Anyhow the nurse gave me a list of OTC stuff I could buy for dry skin and Bag Balm was on the list. I was so excited I grabbed my hubby and told him that I know someone in the forum that uses that stuff. It's the little things in life that make me happy.

I believe that what they are talking about is the balm that you put on a cows teets. You should be able to get it at a Tractor Supply store, or maybe even Walmarts. We got that for my husbands feet - dried out and really scaly. It has a lot of lanolin in it so you may be able to find pure lanolin at Walmarts.

I use the bag balm on my little doggies pads sometimes, especially in the winter.

So as long as I don't tell my hubby what it's actually used for, he won't mind using it. Last year or rather the beginning of this year,he was so bad with scratching that he actually made himself bleed. Dr told him it was dry skin. So today I sat him down and read him the papers the Dr sent home with me. We will start tomorrow with him putting on the bag balm. I don't care if he slides out of bed because it's too greasy, I refuse to go thru another year of his complaining that he's itchy and it's driving him nuts.

Maybe that will work on his mom's fingertips. She quilts and her finger tips are always dry, cracked or bleeding. If she rubs it in at night before she goes to bed it might help her.

It can feel greasy to some people. If you're careful with it (a little goes a long way) it's not too bad. On your lips, it's like baby oil softness...it's awesome. It's produced by the Dairy Association Co. in Vermont. Yes, it will work great on her hands. Tell her if she can stand it, wear socks on her hands. Same with feet. A couple of nights with it on and cotton socks over it, you're soft as a baby's bottom.
