The goal is to travel light. Do not carry anything on your back, and do not sling heavy items over your shoulder. If possible, scale down to a "fanny pack" style of purse you can wear around your waist. It is small yet can hold essentials like keys, your driver's license, and cash.

If you are accustom to carrying a thirty-pound purse, you will have to make up your mind that you are not a walking snack machine/medic station/toy store. Keep a bag in the car with the ten thousand items you feel it is vital to have at hand, and if you need something out of it while you are away from home, it will be as close as the parking lot.

I like the idea of keeping my purse in the car and just taking in the few essentials I need. I rarely go anywhere that doesn't have a cart, but I may have to find a little bag to put my id, bank card and bag balm in. Never go anywhere without my mini bag balm!

that's EXACTLY what I do. I have 2 purses fixed at all times. And I keep a big soft briefcase in the trunk too with books, art supplies etc. Carrying heavy bags on my shoulders cause the muscle spasms in the shoulder blades to flare up bad, and has even effected both Rotary Cuffs in my arms. I hope alot of ladies with FMS realize this. I wish I had a long time before I did!

I also carry two purses.

Well actualy I carry a purse. Not as large as I used to. My husband said it was getting too heavy! He should know - he was the one who carried it. Finally we bought a small purse and keep a duffle/briefcase to carry anything else.

And of course don't forget the drugs. Don't leave home without them!!

I find it at a local feed and farm supply store...lol...the big chains like walmart carry the big cans but only the feed store carries the little ones. I love the stuff - I use it addictively on my lips and it's perfect for little scrapes at the park or paper cuts or whatever so it's nice to have on the go. I have 2 big cans in my house, one in my bedroom and one in the livingroom then the little one in my purse. I'm addicted...it's true.

I've seen the big cans but never the mini ones. For papercuts, scraps, burns I use Zim's Crack Cream. That stuff work good and I put in on EVERYTHING!

Zim's didn't work for me, but I use Udder Cream, also available in big and small sizes at the local feed store! LOL I have to have Bag Balm for my lips though.

I have days where it feels like my purse weighs a hundred pounds (everyday). I keep looking in there to see what is causing the weight, but there is nothing in there but my wallet..........
