You defininitely have my prayers. I had to laugh about splurging and eating off the dollar menu. We do that now, and we both work good jobs. We are approaching retirement age and dont think we could survive on our teensy retirement checks in today's economy.

Best of luck. Things always seem to work out for the best in the long run.

I can certainly relate to what you're going through, as well. My IH's income is based on what he accomplishes during the week. Checks have been low lately and bills have fallen behind. When he was here a couple of weeks ago, he did a very stupid thing financially, without checking with me (I pay all the bills and handle all the expenses). The impact of what he did was that I had no money for bills, groceries or meds, and I was being hit with NSF charges from the bank, left and right. Not to mention all the calls from creditors.

I have just gone nine days without four of my medications and I have been in so much pain, and frankly, now I'm scared. I don't know how long it's going to take to correct the stupid thing he did. And I still don't know when I'll be able to afford to get my meds.

I'm sorry...I've gone off on a tangeant (sp) here. All I meant to say is that I understand the fear of the financial future, and not being able to provide for your needs. I wish you and your bf the best. Sounds like things are looking your way though, so good luck!

Thank you all again. I know many of us are in the same boat in more ways than one. Other than the lyrica samples the P.A. gave me a week or so ago, I've been completely off my meds for about 3 mths now and I know how hard it is for all of us without meds. My cholesterol and trigylcerites were through the roof for me when I had a free test for cholesterol, glucose, and PAD last week. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you again and that you all will be in our thoughts and prayers and I will quit rambling now.

"A pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl."
