I know many of us have issues with textures- of clothes, sheets, etc. Mine have gotten really bad and my sheets and comforter were feeling like sandpaper to me. I wasn't sleeping well, which I already had issues with, so when we were at walmart yesterday, Honey found a microfiber blanket that was big enough for our bed...I've been using a throw-sized one in bed....and he found fleece sheets! They were in a bin together. Let me tell you, there is no softer combination! No sandpaper feeling...they were pretty inexpensive considering we have a king-sized bed! I was concerned about spending the money, but man...I slept like a baby last night. Didn't wake up to get sandpaper off my leg...If you are having trouble, I suggest checking your local walmart. They only had the brown in our size, but it's a beautiful chocolate brown...very fall-ish. This stuff is what heaven feels like, I have no doubt!

I have a beautiful wolf microfiber blanket and shams I purchased online from collections etc. It wasn't a bad price and has my favorite wolves on them. I agree, it's so much better than regular blankets and stuff. I don't even take the shams off before sleep because the pillow cases irritate me after awhile.

I love fleece sheets and the tshirt type also. I had a set I found at Target in CO that were cheap and so soft I couldn't tell my skin was against them (only the mattress below). I find that on my bad days, most fabrics irritate me.

Thanks for posting and letting me know I wasn't crazy when I thought my microfiber blanket was better! *hehe*

Hugs,

I thought good grief can this catch us on fire??? lol

I just invested in three great items for my bed. For me to sleep comfortably, I need cool to cold air, and a very warm bed.

First, I got a 2" thick wool mattress topper from ebay. Each one is custom made, using New Zealand wool and some kind of cotton (I think ) covering. I used to have memory foam, but I would wake up drenched from sweat every night. This has not happened since switching to the wool.

Next, I got a heated mattress pad (ebay) which has been a Godsend for me.

Then finally, I got a new electric blanket. It is sooooooo soft microfiber fleece. Softest thing I've ever felt. And unlike regular heated blankets that have large wires and hot and cold areas, this one has miniscule wires that run in a different pattern and are stitched in place. You don't feel the wires and there are no hot/cold spots.

In addition to that, I have sheets that are all 800 to 1000 thread count. I only use fleece sheets in the winter, but high thread count makes the sheets so much nicer.

All of these were purchased on ebay (see a pattern here?) and now I feel like my bed was made for a princess...so soft and warm.
