You can go into your browser bar and type in printable food diary and several options will come up. I typed up a free one from All Diet Source and now I can make as many copies as I want. Try it. Maybe, just maybe, losing weight will help us with our fibro in the long run if we can start exercising.

Hey Hipmama you don't have to worry about all that -you just pick something small to change and go from there- I have had those same issues, you don't have to worry about being in any sort of competitive thing -We all have those struggles. I know one time I did everything right and was walking 6-7 days a week-9years ago! I weighed in at WW and went up 5 yes 5 lbs. The WW lady that weighed me wanted me to stay after to talk to the leader- I almost wanted to quit!I did stop going to WW but I continued on my own and lost 45lbs. I felt like a little kid staying after class because I need tutoring...I was really embarrased, for no good reason. Hipmama, You do what you want I don't care if it's cut out one kind of food that you know isn't helping you out. If you need encouragement we're here to give it to you! Everyone is gonna go at different paces. Dumb but- I started off another time by walking 3 miles every day for a week- Then I got that crazy virus, felt exhausted -then FMS was awful- so none of us should do that!

I ned to lose a few pounds too and want to do it before my daughter's wedding in March. Some of the weight I have gained is from meds and some is because I am not eating right. I have been going to water excercise class and walking some this past couple of weeks.

Well I am off to a decent start. I still need to walk though. I hve started to eat more of the veggies and fruit but too much bad- Cheese this week. Well I did go to Amish Indiana so I guess that's my excuse this week but I don't get to use that next week!! I like to eat:

Sugar free jello with grapes and mandarine oranges in it with low fat cottage cheese. It's a good go with lunch side or snack if I feel sugar withdraw. I use any flavor but really like black cherry the best!Ann

Not to interupt in this conversation, but does anyone have problems with losing to much weight? Between the pain and the depression have lost my desire to eat.

Klsy, I do....there are times I look sick or anorexic....My doc keeps telling me it's not healthy to be so thin and I just tell her I can't help it!

That is how it is for me, I have been really bad since April now, where I used to have a period of time between flare ups. I have lost 15lbs in a month, not on purpose. I just was diagnosed with the Fibro about 2 weeks ago. Which has not made my appitite any better.

Klsy, It's scary for me to think how much I have lost. I have had trouble keeping weight on since I fell in Jan '02. I wasn't diagnosed until May of this year. And even after diagnosis, I can't keep the weight on. The doc has me on protein shakes and stuff to try and help me put on some weight, good weight...but it's not working.

I wish I had your problem. I cannot lose weight no matter how hard I try because of the meds I am on. Monday I am going to try to start and exercise program. I am also watching what I eat.

A good friend of mine looked lost way way too much weight when she was layed up with back problems. As she felt better her appetite returned I think everyone handles pain different. I wonder if we are all predisposed to going up or down during those times. Now back to the subject:

This is really dumb but I am gonna share anyway. My hubby and I had a conversation this morning, I had just made a bowl of oatmeal. I started w/ a cut up peeled sliced apple in my bowl covered micowaved on high about 1 min. then added oatmeal and h2o back in for 2 min. took out added 1 teas. peanut butter and sugar free pancake syrup an a splash of milk.( Yum Yum and good for you too.)

I said ," Oh Oat Meal I missed you my friend. I have been hanging out with Donut, Cookie, Cake, and Candy and they have been so mean and they wouldn't let me go! They beat me and taunted me and made me carry all their bags everywhere I went. My back started to hurt even more than usual so I asked Potato Chip for help. Pop Corn had drowned in Butter so she couldn't help me. Carrot and Celery left town when they saw Pie and got scarred! Fried Chicken killed his brother Grilled Chicken because he was jealous of his relationship with Salad. Then Sleep came to visit. Sleep will not associate with Exersize, so Exersize ran Off with SEX because neither of them felt fulfilled in their relationship. So that's why I ended just laying around with Fat. My Hubby thought it was really funny.
