Does anyone know if hot tubs help with Fibro? I have thought about purchasing one if it would be of any benefit but i don't want to if it would cause it to be worse.

Thanks for any input!

Denise

I think a hot tub feels so great. Not too hot, and not for too long if you're sensitive to heat, but yes. I'd buy one if I could afford it.

Hi Denise ...

I don t know for sure but I certainly would think that a hot tub wouldn t hurt fibro sufferers in any way. I don t have one but could surely enjoy one if I did.

If you are still in doubt after others post here, why not ask your dr. and see what he/she thinks.

I sat in a whirlpool bath at a motel we stayed at . Boy was that soothing. I woke up in no pain the next day even though I played basketball with my brother, my nephew and my brother-in-law. That was before my fibro. I think the hot tubs and the whirlpool baths are godsends. I was so excited last year on our first real vacation for me and my hubby. The log cabin we stayed in had both the hot tub and the whirlpool bath. The hot tub was on the back porch. When we finally got the lid off, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since installation or else the bears used it at night. So I filled up the whirlpool bath inside and all four of us got a nice foot soaking.

Yes...hot tubs are a god send for fibro suffers. I suggest buying a used one if you can find them advertised in your local paper. They are a whole lot cheaper. I know this may sound gross but not when you think about the hotel hot tubs we have all used. Hot tubs are easily cleaned...even the jets with a sponge bottle washer and also easily maintained. I use mine in the summer for a cool pool.
