"My mother is dealing with chronic pain and has fibromyalgia" (worrieddaughter09)

MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Boy do I understand. Went to Walmart today. I get tomato sauce and of coarse it's on the bottom shelf. I almost couldn't get back up. I also hate running into people that I know. i don't try to be unsociable, but with shopping I really have to concentrate. Plus it hurts to stand or walk after a short time. I laughed when you wrote about having to backtrack. I do it all the time. Even better, I remember in the car on the way home or after I get home that I forgot something. My husband told me I should make lists. I do, but most of the time I forget them too.

I have to ask.... what is gorilla snot????? I take it that it is some kind of hair product, but I have never heard of it. Sounds kind of "ewe" (I'm quoting Sistrozzie)

OK, I'm back from WalMart. No Wii's but I did get some bags to put the birthday present in and also some kitty litter. I'm at the check out counter and remember, you didn't get a birthday card dummy. So I went across the street to Meijers because I know they have my mascara. Walked to the place for electronics and No Wii's either.

Walked over to the make up counter and got my mascara. Checked for tenis shoes, didn't have any. Found a nice comfortable pair of jeans for next weekend. Put all the stuff up on the counter and just as she was ringing it up. I remembered I didn't get a birthday card.

So I went home the back way so I could go to Krogers and get a card and some Ice Cream sandwiches. Walked into Kroger, got some Nilla cakesters and some Ice Cream. Got up to the counter looked and let out a silent "@*#^ and walked all the way back to the card aisle. Dave's nephew now has a card for his birthday. Now all I have to remember is where I put the coloring book and crayons.

Although I've never seen a gorilla sneeze, I'm assuming that its the gel you stick on your head to make it stand up straight.

Yup that's what it is. It's kinda like egg whites. Doesn't make my hair stand srtaight up, but I can at least get to workout it being flat.

Heck Butch wax wouldn't even make my hair stand up.

......ain't it the worst??? Grocery shopping is such an ordeal that sometimes my dear mother tells me to make a list and she'll get them for me. I just seem to wander around the store alot like a little lost sheep. Alot of times, I forget my grocery list and there is NO way I can remember the things I was going to get. Sometimes I'll catch myself just standing there staring at my list like it's written in Greek or some indecipherable code. It's awful.

I feel something in the top part of my head but it doesn't feel like a brain..... It feels like my head is full of cotton or something. I don't understand how one "condition" can cause so many different symptoms. I hope every sh*ttin' dr who thinks fibro isn't "real" gets this mess some day.
