I'm an Advocate

I won tickets from Best Buy to go to the Red Sox game tomorrow afternoon. They called me and said for being such an electronics nerd lol just kidding for being a preferred customer we were automatically chosen Geek Squad nominated me because I am always in there for my laptops so we said yes we would love to take them but now that Paul is hurt he is not going to be able to go. He knows how much I was looking forward to it and how I dont get out often so we were trying to figure out what to do, if I had friends this wouldnt be such an issue lol. Luckily a friend of ours who loves the Red Sox said he would love to take me so we are going to go. I am really bummed that Paul cant be there with me. We got two tickets with good seats, I got to email them a personal message to put on the score board during the game, my name goes somewhere I dont know where and I get a souvener picture taken for free with either the mascot, a player or something else I cant remember and they will email it or mail it to me. Its a pretty cool deal, I am excited except for the no Paul part but I understand the seats are too hard for him right now and its too much walking. Its probably too much for me too but where he just hurt himself its really just too much for him. I have never been to a live game so I cant wait! Smile Anyway just wanted to share my news.

Hugs, Stacey

Oh honey!!! I think this is simply grand! Yes you will probably pay the price but so what, both you and Paul can be down and care for each other.....

I do wish he could go with you too, and know he would love to....but your Paul wouldn't want you to stay home and this is a once in a life time opportunity.....Take your camera so you can share pictures of the board with your message on it and other things as well.....

My bet is that the adrenalin will carry you through until you gt safely back homewhere you can then relax.

Have a simply grand time.

So, you like Geek Squad? Do good work do they?

There is one in the next big city. and we have a pile of "dead laptops" which would be nice to get fixed.

Have fun, you deserve it and bless Paul's friend for taking you! Will keep your Paul in our prayers that he heals quickly and feels better soon.

Love

STACEY HOW WONDERFUL!!! You get to be at a home game vs as my grandfather called them "That team from NY that is not the Mets". I am going to be glued to the set.

I am hoping the contussion Tek got last night on his arm doesnt keep him out of the game. Lester is pitching so now I really want to be at Fenway. He is so awesome..he reminds me of a really cute elf. LOL He is a little older than my daughter Sarah. Watching him pitch brings out the maternal side that is for sure...

This is great too and I wish the BRS could really do this..Remember when the nyy were at Fenway and Jeter went to first and pushed Youklis? WELL my little Alana saw that and was livid. She told me that "Jeter needs to go in time out because Miss Beverly (her preschool teacher) says you dont push people". I am sure that she knows that from personal experience too.

Enjoy the game and have a wonderful Mother's Day.

LET'S GO REDSOX!!

PS My daughter summed up Becketts issues on the mound yesterday she told me "Maybe he looked at Arod too much and got sick" Gee is she a BRS fan or what?

I saw the post title and wondered why it hadn't been locked... After all, Red Sox vs. Yankees sounds like a nasty fight waiting to happen. I'd rather go into a Hitler Youth rally wearing a Yalmuka than get between Sox and Yankee fans.

I'm a Red Sox fan in Yankee country and thinking about going to Fenway on the 4th of July. I know it will kill me like DC did but so what... at least this would be more fun than the Holocaust museum DC trip of 5 mile walking (shudders). Laughing

The Holocaust museum?!? Did someone PAY you to go there? I tend to have a lot of Jewish like traits in my personality and I wouldn't go there on a bet.

Disturbing yet funny story that is totaly off topic.

Years ago I worked a charity haunted house in Fort Collins. I was "Doctor Renhoik Von Frankenschtimpy. A graduate of the Doctor Joseph Mengela School of Modern Physiolgy where our motto is "If you don't experiment, you don't learn." I played up the mad german scientist schtick real good.

Well one year a week before opening night we watched Schindlers List... I was unable to get my evil german up until the first night of the house. The only way I could get into charachter was the makeup guy was telling me horrible jewish jokes until I laughed.

"How many Jews can you fit in a Volkswagon?"

"Two in the front, two in the back and the rest in the ash tray."

I got back into charachter and we had a great night.
