I was diagnosed for the same reason as your but for me it was called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors Apathy. My doctor said that the anti depressants are causing me to keep forgetting where I was going. Oh I know where. Down stairs to laundry. Then I say 5 minutes I will go do that. 1 hours goes by I say ok after ophrah. Guess what it never got done. That was the same with paying bills and everything I have to do. It sounds the same with just a different name.

Mowse,

Where I used to live, you couldn't take the carts out to the parking area, you had to come and pick up your groceries. I got to the store, did my grocery shopping paid for them, pushed my cart out to the waiting area, got in my car and went home. When I got home, I couldn't figure out where the heck my groceries were. I drove back and found a lonely cart sitting there just waiting for me to pick it up. I was so embarassed.

Now I know I am not alone and not totally crazy (yet). I do these things at home and at work, where remembering things (or not) can have more dire consequences! I also have the fear of Alzheimer's that BarbieG mentioned because my mom has it, and I have the worst time remembering names and stuff, and it makes me scared! I will also get into the car, and if I'm with someone else, they will inevitably say "where are you going" after a minute or so, and remind me that we should be going in the other direction. I have trouble with directions in general, even if it's someplace I've been before, and know where it is, I sometimes have trouble remembering how to get from point A to point B, if that makes sense. And forget giving me route numbers or exchanges; just say, "turn right at the big red building with the boat on the side, etc..! The exchange between mcbeth and Janilee, regarding Tofusie's post, was very funny! I also enjoyed A.A.A.D.D., which is me anyway, because I have ADD, and have always had trouble focusing. It is this humor, however, that keeps me "somewhat" sane! ; )
