A. A. A. D. D.

===============

Do you have A. A. A. D. D.?

I have recently been diagnosed with A. A. A. D. D.

(Advanced Absentminded Attention Deficit Disorder)

This is how it goes:

I decide to wash the car; I start toward the garage and notice

the mail on the table.

OK, I'm going to wash the car, but first I'm going to go through

the mail.

I lay the car keys down on the desk, discard the junk mail, and

notice the trashcan is full.

OK, I'll just put the bills on my desk and take the trashcan

out, but since I'm going to be near the mailbox anyway, I'll pay

these few bills first.

Now, where is my checkbook?

Oops, there's only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk.

Oh, there's the coke I was drinking.

I'm going to look for those checks.

But first I have to put my coke further away from the computer,

or maybe I'll pop it into the fridge to keep it cold for awhile.

I head towards the kitchen and my flowers catch my eye; they

need some water.

I set the coke on the counter, and uh oh.

There are my glasses. I was looking for them all morning.

I'd better put them away first.

I fill a container with water and head for the flower pots.

Uh oh.....someone left the TV remote in the kitchen.

We'll never think to look in the kitchen tonight when we want to

watch television, so I'd better put it back in the family room

where it belongs.

I splash some water into the pots and onto the floor, I throw

the remote onto a soft cushion on the sofa and I head back down

the hall trying to figure out what it was I was going to do?

End of the Day: The car isn't washed, the bills are unpaid, the

coke is sitting on the kitchen counter, the flowers are half-

watered, the checkbook still only has one check in it and I

can't seem to find my car keys.

When I try to figure out how come nothing got done today, I'm

baffled because I KNOW I WAS BUSY ALL DAY LONG!!!!!

I realize this is a serious condition and I'll get help, but

first I think I'll check my email................

Please send this to everyone you know because I DON'T REMEMBER

TO WHOM I'VE SENT THIS!!!!!!

Had to post this, just received from a friend who has Fibro, but thought It fit our day!

OMG and it's no wonder we're so tired at the end of the day! Just the simple task of going to the market for a few groceries take hours somedays. You have to find your keys - I know I put them on the key hook - no not there - so you spend 10-15 minutes trying to remember where you were last and when you do finally find them it's "why did I leave them there?" Okay so you're pulling out of the driveway and crap did I unplug the curling iron go back and check okay unpluged, get to the door and I have to go check again okay it's unplugged. Okay I'm going but I better check again. I'm leaving again get around the corner crap did I close the garage door? Go around the block okay it's closed. Get 2 blocks away better go back again. Okay I'm at the store and you guessed it I forgot the list. Okay got list drive around block again for the garage door thing and back at store. Same store I've been going to for years but I can't remember where eveything is so I have to go up and down each isle even tho I'm only getting maybe a dozen things. Okay done get in line and crap forgot the money. Go back home - oh wait spend 10 minutes looking for car and then go back home (and a few times had to really think about how to get back home) and then start all over again!

Susie =)

I also see myself in that. I know it's getting worse too. I'm exhausted just reading it, but it is a very cute post. It's funny isn't it.

Sometimes it's hard to walk, talk, or even know what's going on in my own mind. But as long as I have a smile on my face I can give a little bit of sunshine!

She wants to make sure you aren't driving around the block again Mary Beth. LOL. I knew I had something to tell you. Susie's following you again.

ROFLOL Jan, if I hurry and turn 2 more corners, I'll catch up to Susie and I'll be following her.....but then we'll both be lost.

That is so awesome reading that I am not the only one feeling like I lose everything and forget where I leave things! My mom died from Alzheimers and was a brilliant woman but diagnosed very young so I get so scared sometimes, like is it just these meds and exhaustion or early Alz.

My husband is great, he is always telling me '" it's just the meds." Either way I try to find out everything I can to ward off any new disease, like eating right and certain vitamins. But thanks guys for reassuring me I am not losing my marbles, just very tired!

This is really how our lives are.Thought I was crazy at first, but I'm not because that would mean we all are.

I was reading a post last night and I'm going to try assigning a task a day. Example: Monday- do bedrooms

Tuesday-bathrooms

etc. see how that works out. I'm going to put assignments on my bulletin board in the kitchen. That was an idea I had a way back, using a bulletin board for appts.,school stuff, etc. It's just sometimes I forget to put things up there...lol.

My animals love it when I give them too much food or an extra snack cause I 4got I did it already..has anyone every went out to the store and forget where you're suppose to be going after you've been driving for about 30 minutes or have you ever 4got how you arrived at your destination, you dont remember driving there?

I'm so glad I have you guys. You all really help me alot..God Bless Us and keep us sane..
