Janilee: Im sorry for your troubles. It seems when times get tough, they keep on getting tougher. I'm equally as glad you got the smelly carpet out of the bathroom and low and behold....new linoleum. Sounds like that is the only bonus you have received lately. While I don't have any clear answers for you on Soc Sec Disability.....I can say that a lawyer and more medical information is what I had to do for my appeal. I put every single item about my health into the appeal. Even the gyn info (LOL)! I was lucky because a local doctor awarded me SSDI on my appeal (out of court)so I had to pay the lawyer $5,300 for nothing but that's ok by me. It seems that a lawyer is almost always the ticket. Hang in there tough lady. I wish you the very best with the social sec situation. Gentle hugs girlfriend.

Thanks Cori. I did the tough it out at work too and ended up loosing my job anyway. The people I worked with just weren't compassionate at all. I have an Advocate on my side and she told me that they have a 95% success rate at the hearing level so I'm still hoping.

God has never let me down. I've been in worse postions and he's always gotten me thru. I gues he just feels that it's not my time to get my disability yet.

Thanks for your support.

Hugs and Wishes for you

Jan

You have a good attitude about the whole situation. You need that to get you through. The disability phase seems to be almost as aggrevating as the FMS. Well, ok, maybe not quite as bad...but bad enough. I also think there is a little bit of the 'woman' thing involved with getting disability too. I know some men that got it and they didn't have to do 'squat' to get it. Double standard!!

I am glad you discovered the new linoleum at least that is one bright spot in all this mess. I agree that God will get us through. I keep hanging onto that thought also.

I think SSD is more like hemorrhoids than FMS, they are both a pain in the ASS. I was just venting to my sister about a woman I know who gets every government free thing there is available. Then I thought, at least she is American.

Janilee what they wrote about your being able to hold a sedantary position reminded me of a friend who applied because he had only 30% heart function. When they denied him the judge wrote that due to my friend's education and work history, he could easily find a sedentary job. My friend was a 10th grade drop-out who had worked in a record store his whole adult life. He got his after his second hearing. ... Oddly, his brother got it for depression on the first try!

I wish for you

A better day.

May peace and joy,

Be headed your way.

Life is a mystery. It is a gift.
Don't dare miss even a moment of it.
Yesterday was a lesson, today is a prayer,
Tomorrow would mean nothing,
If I can't find you there..... by MonaCherie Nov.2008
