I hope you have a better day after your rest! The lupus test is fairly straight forward...there's a anti-nuclear test or something like that.

About being too young for a heart attack...my ex had his first when he was 46 and two more within 6 months. His symptoms did not at all match the "typical" heart attack so he was misdiagnosed the second(!) time which led to the third one. And women's heart attacks are almost always 'atypical' .. we tend to feel it in our necks & jaw rather than our chest & arm.

I have had 1 mild heart attack already. That was last Sept. I was 37. I had a lot of the same feelings this time when I came into the hospital. They are saying my tests are negative for heart attack, but they have not yet given up looking to see what is going on.

You are all laughing at that duct tape thing....but my ex husband's second wife actually DID that with her 3 young kids (not my 2, thankfully). My two boys came back from visiting their dad and in the car on the way home they said, "mom you wouldn't BELIEVE what Susan did as a punishment for Jacob and Michael...she DUCT TAPED their arms and legs together so they couldn't move!" And they were suing ME for custody! I shared that story with the courts and they didn't think it was so funny.... Going thru the stress of a long, costly custody battle was the final straw that set my fibro into a flare that has never completely improved...and we know how stress can make everything so much worse. The biggest stressors for me are health uncertainties (waiting for results of tests! wondering if they'll find something worse than I already have! getting exhausted and sick from the tests, like you did dragonfly....), fears of losing your housing, not being able to pay for meds, family pressures to DO MORE and STOP BEING SICK AND LAZY ALL THE TIME, and for me, the worst one was fear of losing custody of my two boys to my ex's wicked mentally unstable second wife....I won the battle, but have paid the price in my physical and mental health declining.

So Dragonfly....if you can....try not to STRESS after that STRESS test! It will all be over with soon for better or worse...we are all here to distract you with funny jokes and encouraging words. Imagine that next tech who wants to draw your blood with a wedgie! Yeah, you can tell I have boys..... I hope you get to go home soon and they get to the bottom of this....

well after talking to 4 different people I finally got them to do the blood test for lupus. Now they are getting my papers together so that I can go home. I am happy to be getting out of this place.

I can say as far as hospital stays, this has been the best. All of the nurses, teches and everyone else were very good. I did not have to yell at anyone. They talked to me and answered my questions and were as nice as possible. Food was typical hospital food and I was on a cardiac diet. So that made it much worse. I will be a free bird in about 1hr.

I was told that it would be a while before I got the test results back. I am just happy that they did it.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and being here for me to talk with.

Yay! you are better and you are getting out of the hospital. One day in a hospital is enough for me.

Take it easy for awhile and tell your kids to behave.

Wish I was there to help you get better.

Hugs

I am home. My youngest son went back to Ill. today. I was not able to see him off. That hurt, but I did call him when I got home and he is doing good.

I am taking it easy. My son is cooking dinner. My uncle is back from his trip. My dh is still at work.
