just wanted to let everyone know that I am in the hospital. I went into the emergency room on 7/22 with chest pain. They have been doing a lot of tests and blood work to every 3 hours for the first 12 hrs I was here. I know that I am not getting out today. I have a stress test tomorrow.

I am able to be online because I have my son's laptop.

My other son is going back to Chicago in the morning and I will not be able to see him off. that is hurting me so much.

My dh is at work and the boys have been fighting all day. I dont even know how many times they have called me yelling at each other. that is not helping my stress level any.

I am going to rest for now. I will be back on later.

Maybe you should turn the ringer off on your phone? Just a thought.

Please keep us updated.

If your enzymes haven't changed, then you probably haven't had a heart attack or they would have told you so. The stress test will determine if you have any blockage. Please keep us informed. Best wishes for a good result. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I thought of turning the ringer off on my phone. I was afraid if they could not get ahold of me, they would kill each other.

Broken, your right, just put the phone next to me and my stress level should show something. LOL. I know the boys are fighting more because I am not there and in the hospital again. my youngest never has handled it well when I am not feeling well.

dh is going to bring the boys to see me tonight after he gets off work. Being in here right now is really bad timing. All of this could have waited just a couple of days tell my little one was gone.

Thank you for your prayers. That means so much to me.

they have said it was not a heart attack. they are looking for blockages like you said, they are also looking to see if I have a blood clot in my lung. I have had several docs here ask me about my lungs. So now I just wait and see.

dragonfly, you are in my prayers. The reason for so much blood work is that they are keeping an eye out on your enzymes. They did that to me when I went to the ER for shoulder pains. The lab work was the only way that they could tell I was about to have a heart attack. My troponin level kept going up and up. I did get a heart cath and they found one artery that was 97% blocked. Actually the ER Dr was surprized because he thought my pain was muscle skeletal. I didn't look like I was having a heart attack at all. I was pink, I could show him exactly where the pain was and it hurt upon touch (that's before my fibro diagnosis). My EKG was also normal, no shortness of breath, Nothing. I did the insisting that I be checked out for heart problems because my dad died at 61 from a heart attack. I'm glad atleast one Dr took me seriously. The one I went to a week prior at the clinic just said I was too young for a heart attack and gave me Nexium.

You are in good hands and exactly where you should be right now. Maybe this is God's way of telling you to slow down. Tell your kids to QUIT FIGHTING or Auntie Jan will be there with the yard stick to settle them down.

Keep us posted.

Hugs

Jan

Yes I have had and echo. I have also had chest x-ray, cat-scan,blood work, and more than I ekg. I am also hooked up to a monitor.

They have nitro cream on my leg that they change a couple times a day. they said that my cholesterol is the best they have seen in a long time. One of the problems is that my blood pressure is low, but by pulse is still running about 99 and higher. They had me on oxygen all night and part of today. Now I am just waiting for what ever is next.

I did have someone in the hospital say that they wonder if I was miss diagnosed with fibro, that it looks more like an auto amine problem. I also was asked if I have ever had a work up for lupus. I never have been, I did have a 2nd cousin die from lupus. I think they might look into both of them well I am here. If not, it was strongly suggested that I change my GP and get the tests done. I can say that I am happy with the treatment that I have gotten here,.

And Fletch, I am not at the hospital that you had the problems with. I am on the other side of the county.

Thank you everyone. I think I would go crazy right now if I was not able to get online and talk with everyone.

Dragonfly your in my prayers. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I also hope they can get some definate answers for you. As hard as it is for the boys to understand maybe when they come to visit you can have a nurse or possibly the doctor explain that mom doesn't need the extra stress of fighting phone calls right now. Sometimes hearing it from someone else can have a bigger impact. I don't know how old they are and if they are young I know it is hard for them but you do need to be able to rest. Good luck and keep us posted.
