I will keep saying prayers for your daughter.

I would make a lists of questions for that doctor and make sure he answers every one of them.

Be wise and dignified like the swan: he maintains his composure, staying unruffled on the surface, while always paddling like crazy underneath.

Thanks for all the prayers and comments. It is wonderful knowing that there are such caring people on this website.

Sorry for my LONG update previously, but the more I wrote the more I realized the situation had not been handled correctly. (I did feel better after getting it off my chest. So thanks for "listening" to me.)

Please understand that I am NOT down on Nurse Practitioners. I know there are some great ones out there, and the two mentioned in my previous post were very nice and knowledgeable (according to my daughter), but as Sandi said there are "too many cooks stirring the pot" in this situation.

Just to clarify, there is only one cardiologist (not a group), and evidently he relies heavily on his Nurse Practitioners for dealing with the patients.

Gentle Hugs,
Carla

Glad to hear your daughter is doing better. If she is not pleased with the care she is receiving from the NP she most definitely can ask to see only the cardiologist. She can make the request in such a manner as not to cause hard feelings at the doctors office, since she still has to go there. This is how I would handle it and is only a suggestion.I continue to pray for you and your daughter.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

UPDATE: My daughter changed cardiologists in August, and is very satisfied with the new doctor. During her first visit, the doctor told her that her heart had returned to normal size and could then begin strengthening. (That was not even mentioned when she got her results from her July echo.) She is scheduled for an echocardiogram December 9th. The last one she had was in July. She is feeling much better and our hopes are high that this test will show great improvement. Please keep her in your prayers.
Gentle Hugs,
Carla

I'll add her to my list. I'm glad she is feeling better and hope she continues to improve.
"A pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl."
