Fibro is a kill joy. Happy comes in small pieces and they are sometimes hard to find. Fibro "happies" are usualy short and go away quickly but they do exist! A 'fibro happy' may be finding that sock that you thought the dryer ate or finding a coke in the fridge when you thought they were all gone. It may sound silly to the rest of the world but we take the happies that we can find. My favorite "happy" is when I see my wife smile. (she is the one with fibro). I can't make her stop hurting but I can help her find those darn little happies. What little happies have you found lately?

A new happy I have is when my puppy snuggles up next to me and we both take a nap!

What a great Post!! I love to see people that can see the positive side! I too am in various degrees of pain daily. But the thing that makes me the happiest is to see people helping people. Strangers, friends, young helping elders, little kids helping parents or grandparents, It just gives me the warm fuzzies all over!

My biggest happy is my husband! When he gets home from work everyday, he lays down whatever he has in his hand and starts looking through the house to find me. Sometimes instead of calling out to him, I like to listen to his footprints and having the knowledge that he won't start doing something else until he "finds" me. That is a big happy. Those smaller happies are harder to come up with. I feel that the pain has us so caught in ourselves and hurting that we forget to stop and smell the roses, or the honeysuckle on the side of the rose. I going to try to keep a strong look out for those small happies. Life has been expremely difficut for me lately and I am fixing to go through a very stressing 2 weeks of dealing with my family. We've been estranged for many years now. And he has just be diagnosed with pancreactic cancer with less then 6 months to live. So Pray that I find a whole bunce of little happies in my days over the next few weeks. And my wish for all of you is that you can learn to find the small happies. They are there we just have to look for them kathy

Yendor,

I must applaud you.You have a wonderful understanding of fibro, that I cant say I've ever seen with someone who doesn't have it.And your insight to being helpful, and being positive with such a negative condition is truely amazing. I have learned and am still learning from you.I want to thank you for this post.

Some of my fibro happies are when I see my son smile, and my husband makes me a surprise dinner...when I get to spend time with my dog.And when I make a cake, that really makes the customer smile.Smiles are a big happie for me...always.

~~warm gentle huggs~~JL
