I had to give up my "perfection" ideas to. Let me tell you, it was very difficult at first but it has gotten much better as I have learned what is important in my life. That being said, I still need to have a clean house. I wish I could give you some tips but other then pacing yourself, I really can't be of much help as my daughter comes over and does my cleaning for me.

Some body once posted that they had two of those Swifter mops, one for floors and one for cleaning the tub!! Haven't tried it myself but I was impressed with their ingenuity Smile

A friend of mine tried one of those bathtub cleaning systems...I forget what it's called. Her bf was a heavy equipment operator and always seemed to bring half the worksite home with him--he was always muddy from work. She tried putting the cleaning system in his shower and it didn't work. So she put him in charge of keeping his shower clean and moved the cleaning system to her shower and said it kept her's nice and clean Smile

I bought the clorox version just last week, since most of our floors are hardwood or tile, and it's the kind with the dry pad that you can spray the floor with. I would have never thought to use it for the bathtub but I'm going to try it right now!

Learnt many house cleaning tips from watching a UK T.V programme called 'How Clean Is Your House' with Aggie Mackenzie and Kim Woodburn. Lemon juice is fantastic for cleaning in bathroom- especially if you have limescale around taps/fawcets- just leave a generous amount of the lemon juice around the taps/fawcets for around an hour then come back and rinse off with a damp cloth or with an old toothbrush- it is magic! Can use lemon juice on a shower or around bath too. Sometimes the old fashioned ways of cleaning are the most effective, the cheaper and the ones better for our health. Have multiple chemical sensitivities so have to be careful as to what use to clean around house as some cleaning products can make me pretty ill.

Good luck quitpeekin!

Warmest wishes, love, UK housewife Clarita xoxoxoxo

Thanks for all the tips so far Smile Send more Tongue

Was laughing at what you said Rayne since I can barely manage to do it on the floors let alone walls LOL!!

Clarita you are so right the old fashion methods are so much safer with our systems being so sensitive to things.

I use a lot of baking soda when I clean. Especially for cleaning the tub just before a bath. Then it doesn't matter if you don't manage to rinse it all away...I used to use Comet or Ajax...ouch.

I think there are nearly as many uses for baking soda as there are for duct tape. I also will put it in my laundry instead of vinegar...

Rayne, does the baking soda get out odors like vinegar? We have a male cat who likes to spray. Ek!
