I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 7 years ago, but I had suffered with various pains (as many of you have) for 5-7 years before the official diagnosis. Somehow, it just seemed to help when I was finally diagnosed. At least I knew why I was hurting. I was so tired of hearing (from various doctors) "I can't find anything wrong with you."

You can find my personal story listed in my profile section.

Looking forward to being part of this family.

Gentle Hugs,
Carla

OMG! You told my story. I was first told I had the flu but only in my muscles. Then I was diagnosed with depression. They said that was why I was feeling tired. Then it was arthritis. When I finally got the FM diagnosis it was like a weight was lifted off my back. I have flare ups (like today) and I get the blues because my body is fighting against me. I went to work but couldn't finish the day. I feel like I'm letting everyone down including myself. When I feel good I do great. I can ride my motorcycle and I am high energy. But today.....what a bummer....Lee

Welcome to our family of fibromites. Yuo are going to love all these wonderful people.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

I agree that is is very frustrating when the doctors just tell you there is nothing wrong. Just because they can't figure it out doesn't mean nothing is going on.

I was at a point where I had given up trying to find help. We moved and I didn't even try to find a doctor. Then I got a recommendation and seem to have finally found the right doctor. It sure makes a difference in your self-esteem.

Welcome to the group! Yes, going thru the numerous tests and doctors visits without an answer is extremely frustrating. My depression and anxiety hit an all time high until I received a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and started treatment.

May God heal your body and soul.
May your pain cease,
May your strength increase,
May your fears be released,
May blessings, love, and joy surround you.

I remember before I was dx'd with fibro I thought I was going insane. Then my GP said she thought I had a brain tumor at the base of my head ,so relieved to find out it was "just" fibro.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
