OK I had an MRI done about a month ago and found out that I have 2 herniated discs one is pushing onto the nevers. So I saw a nuerosurgeon who recommended an epidural steriod shot which I got yesterday. Right now have a minor flare going which I was told most likely would happen but should notice a significant difference in 5-7 days will let ya all know.

hugs n love,

Susie

HI,

I have had several epidural injections and spinal injections for my nerve pain. I have also had nerve blocks and botox. My pain is caused by ridiculopathy of C2-C5. I have constant pain. Lyrica helps me take the edge off. I am also on multiple meds for facial neuralgia's and they work together to help some. Sometimes I think pain is just something I just have to live with. Good luck in finding something that works for you. All we can do is keep trying until we find something that works.

How do you know if your neck, shoulders, and/or back are neurological?

I've had an x-ray and MRI of my shoulder. That was quite some time ago. At that time, they saw bursitis. Now the doctor feels that I should go to a surgeon. He states I might have been born with my shoulders going more forward than most. And that after many years, it causes severe pain, inability to have motions, etc.

I'm wondering how these doctors decipher the difference of what's actually Fibro related and what's something else.

I had been getting deep tissue massages 3 times a week and everytime I went it was like I hadnt been there at all. The therapist is the one who suggested the MRI so we could find out what was keeping my muscles so tense. Thats how mine got found.

I have had a cervical fusion and what helps me is applying heat to my neck and then do neck stretches along with other stretching exercises that help lessen my pain level. Sometimes it takes a lot of disipline to do this on a regular basis, but it does help me.
My name is Mary. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 10 years ago. After 10 yrs, I thought I was free from this painful disease. I recently had a flare up and it's taken me almost seven months to feel better. Fibrmyalgia has my attention now and I am searching for all the information I can get, which is why I joined this group. Thanks for being there
