hi everybody! i found this group while surfing the web for trigger fingers (i have 2 that need surgery on one hand and have had the other had already operated), painful-to-the-touch elbows (boney part), ankles, shoulders... well, my whole body, really. i am 56 yrs. old, a little overweight, with what the doctor diagnosed as "metabolic syndrome". this pretty much means some pain here and there, some problems here and there, without (fortunately) any *major* one thing wrong: pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, gastro problems... more. i am seriously wondering if i may have some fibromyalgia? i fit the symptoms perfectly as described in your site and others. has anyone experienced the triggering of the fingers, painful elbows with this? carpal tunnel is gone but was really bad; instead now triggering of fingers, painful neck, shoulders. thanks for your help! i hope this finds you well and not in too much pain today.attached i have one of my paintings, "rosas blancas" for you to enjoy!

I sent a reply but I can't see where it posted. I may have hit the wrong button. Anyway. Yes, yes, and yes. I have pain in my hands today where it hurts to pick up anything or bend my fingers. Also, my elbows hurt so badly that I can hardly bend them. They wake me up alot at night from the pain. I hope you don't have fibro but at least when you get diagnosed you know what you are fighting. It is a real disease and when you tell some people they may not believe you because not much is known about the syndrome.

Talk to a rheumatologist about the fibro and they can do physical tests to check for it. We have trigger points that hurt when touched. Also, there is no blood test or anything like that for it.

God Bless and TAke Care

Welcome to the group Laila. I do have one trigger finger...what type of surgery do they do for it?

I didn't see your painting, but I would love to.
