Hi,

Flutterby here. I live near St. Louis in the midwest. I was diagnosed with Fibro 1998-I think, Many years have past.

I started Lyrica--my first real focused treatment for my Fibro on April 9. I have been doing very well on it. I also have Recurrent Major Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Panic Attacks.

The last 16 months I hit the lowest point with health problems since recovering from a hysterectomy for Endometriosis. It is a long story, but in the end it took two medical school clinical doctors in ENT and Neurology to see the whole picture and finally diagnose me with untreated Fibromyalgia and Migraines.

I have been doing so well on the Lyrica that I did way to many activities last week forgetting my body needs to go much slower to recover from everything that happened since January '07. Resting this weekend and hope the exhaustion recedes.

Looking forward to meeting people here and learning more about living with Fibromyalgia while being treated with Lyrica.

Thank you so much,

Flutterby

My physical goal is to hike and rappell again.

Hi, and welcome! I am pretty new here as well. It has been a great place to ask questions. I have actually gotten responses form people!! I just started Lyrica on Friday, just samples until I can check out any side effects. I have learned that some people love it, and others hate it. I guess I will find out. Right now I am still on a very low dose, 50mg 1X per day. I will go up on Monday if all is still going well. Hope you are having good results with it.

Thanks for the welcome. I am just really frustrated waited for my disability hearing. How do they expect a person to survive in the meantime?

Welcome Flutterby, gald to hear the Lyrica is working well for you. Hope it continues to give you many pain free days. Claude, I don't think they even think about how we are supposed to survive. To them we are just names on paper. Hang in there, they will get to your name on the little iece of paper. Pam I am so sorry to hear that your pain meds aren't helping you to feel better. Have you tried to talk to your doctor about this? I agree with you it is crappy to live with, at least we have others here that we can lean on when we need a little help. Feel free to lean away.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
