Hi

I just wanted to vent a little. I went to my pain specialist today. This is my third trip. Each time I have too pay my co-pay. They only re-wrote prescriptions this time. I asked questions about some pain and problems I have experienced since the last appointment, but the doctor could not answer my questions. I felt like it was a waste of my money being I did'nt receive any answers or tests, just prescription refills. I conclude that they know nothing about Fibro, they're just collecting money. I'm new to this illness and I need answers.

So Sad

Antonia

Thanks for your reply. Let me ask you something and anyone listening.

About 7 days ago I experienced burning in my toes on my left foot and the burning sensation went up my leg to my knee. My skin became very tender and sensitive to the touch. The burning lasted for hours. Was this common to Fibro? This is what I asked my doctor who could not give me an answer.

I get like tingling in my toes and fingers but it doesnt move up my arms or legs. But I am also VERY sensitive to touch! I finally had to tell my friends and family not to touch me repetitivly like rubbing or to come up from behind and poke me cuz it hurt like hell!

The poking not only drives me crazy, it just plain hurts. My daughter accidently does it sometimes. She always feels so bad. it hurts me when she hurts because she hurt me. Make any sense?

Yes, that makes perfect sense. My daughter is 11 years old and still sits in my lap sometimes, but I can't hurt her feelings. That's just love. Love hurts.

Here recently my toes have started burning sometimes and when I'm in bed and a blanket gets on my toes it feels horrible. I just leave my feet out of the blanket when I have this problem. This is a new one for me and I seriously don't need anymore symptoms! I hope that it stays in the toes only!

I had the burning toes days ago, now they have a little pain at times when I have done a lot of walking. My legs are so restless at night. I thought it was my mattress. I complained so much that my husband bought a new set, but I still twist and turn.

That sounds like restless leg syndrome which my sleep doctor diagnosed me with when he found out I had sleep apnea. Apparently all these things go together and make the FMS pain worse. I was once told many years ago that I had a neuro problem but I fell into the 5% who couldn't be diagnosed. I wonder if they would change that opinion now that I have seizure disorder, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and FMS. Surely I must fit into the population somewhere!
