Hi Cindi! Welcome to the group.  It was wild to read your post!!!!!
Back in 2003, 3 years after my Fibro dx, I had severe pain in my left shoulder. It felt like someone took a circular saw to it and would not stop! I live in a small town with the nearest city being 65 miles away. Anyway, I went to 3 doctors in my area. The first 2 took x-rays and said there was nothing there. The 3rd sent me to Neurologist in Houston. I went in complaining about my back and he asked me if I wanted my neck fixed first! He knew that just by the way I was walking. After an MRI and then a Myelogram (MRI that looks inside your spine), he told me that I had 3 herniated discs in my neck. I found a wonderfully accredited Neuro Surgeon and had a Cervical Dysectomy with Fusion. Now I can move my neck after 15 years of not being able to! I have Osteoarthritis in my spine and DDD also, along with tendonitis in virtually all of my joints. Doesn't help the days when my Fibro is kicking my butt. About the disability.......your lucky cuz back when I first applied in 2000, Fibro was not considered a disability. Good luck to you.
