I have a robomaid. It's for the hard floors in our house, which is most all the house. Works GREAT!! I'll come upstairs and tell DH I have the maid working downstairs. Or if it needs charged I'll tell him I have the maid downstairs charging and he will say...she hasn't worked in awhile, make sure she's not charging too much. HAHAHA (Charging, billing us...lol) She saves me time on the downstairs!! Then DH will run the actual vaccuum every so often as needed. He vaccuums the upstairs (the living is upstairs). If the dishes pile too much, he will help there too. Or if I say, while I start dinner will you empty the dishwasher? Then he usually fills it too while he's there.

He "tries" to understand. I know it is just as frustrating for him. My Rhuematologist appt had the Rhuemy double talking so badly that DH came out saying See, even HE says you don't have Fibro, etc. I just wanted to throw my hands up and say, did you not hear the REST of what he said? I know he's still in denial, he hates seeing me "broken". As much as I do. But we try. And that's what matters. Going back to read more of this, this is great!

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!

Another tip I have discovered. My daughter loves shopping at Bath and Body Works. She gets the soaps in the bottles that have the pump tops. Anyway, I get those and put my dish soap or any other liquid soap in them and when I need to use the soap I don't have to lift the whole bottle. Just hit the pump. This works great for those days when your hands hurt so bad you can't lift things. It works for shampoos and things like that in the bathroom also.

I add half a cup of baking soda to every load of laundry and it makes the clothes look brighter than using color safe bleach!

Calling all Pet Owners....What do you use & have found that will take the 'smell of urine' out of the LR carpet...from the rare times the dogs make a mistake? We use a carpet shampooer & have tried about everything, but there are those times that the smell still lingers after a good shampooing! All hints appreciated!!

Tuffy, you have to use an enzyme product to get rid of the urine odor. They sell it at Petsmart. There are a lot of different brands. You just spray it on and follow directions, cant remember if you just leave it on or rub it in. It has been a while since I used it.

I use Hot Spot for small accidents, then Febreze the heck out of the stain. My dogs are really good about not going inside but there have been a few occasions that storms scared them and they piddled.

Good luck, it is hard to get those stains out.

Now my mom swears by white vinegar, I tried it once but my house smelled like an Easter egg! LOL

Thanks ALOT Debbi for your advice. It was a 'rare' accident...picture a 110lb Golden Retriever 'shaking & piddling' like a baby when the thunder rolls in from a storm. Poor guy!! My hubby's nose is very sensitive to that smell, and he tried so hard to get it out, but still smells it a bit. I think we'll try a bit of vinegar in the solution first before going to buy yet 'another' product. Wish us luck. Wanna get rid of the odor before company comes this weekend! Thanks again...

JanfromTN: I love the idea about the car wax on the shower/tub, but does it make the surfaces very slippery?

We have had an air purifier (for years...) that keeps most odors out of our house. We have 2 dogs who live indoors, and have had people ask how we keep the "dog odor" from being in our house, so I know that the purifier really works. I can't often open our windows because of allergies, so this has worked great for us.

Gentle Hugs,
Carla

i must be really old I remember the Jetsons too LOL

but really I take about 10-15 minutes a day straightening up and once a week I vaccumn and do the bathroom course mine is the size of a postage stamp and I NEVER DO TYHEM ON THE SAME DAY

I wipe off the appliances in the kitchen daily to keep them clean and I put wax paper on my refrige shelves to keep them clean and paper towels in my hydrators easy to change when I bring in fresh produce.

I am lucky tough I live ina small 2 bedroom apt with my 18 year old daughter and she is hardly ever home I also wash dishes as I cook { I have stool inmy kitchen I sit on when I cook wash dishes etc)less to do at once that is when I cook we eat a lot of premade foods or fresh foods...easier than cooking a big meal and being tempted to eat it all cause my daughter didnt come home for dinner...

I also use a swifter dry and wet once a week in my kitchen course I am sitting on a stool when I do I have alot of trouble standing and bending so I dont much if I can help it I have carpet flick for those times there is just alittle mess on the rug and I dont want to bring out the monster vacuumn...thats about it for me oh dusting I forg ot I use a wrung out damp rag (it gets the dust and traps it)since I only have the living room its smalland only has a few things in it its easier for me.

Can't tell you how much I am glad that the kids are basically gone as well as my big 2400 sq foot house I love the smaller apt ITS only the loneliness I hate.

P.U.S.H. Pray until something happens....It doesn't make the fibro go away but it helps
