Love the fabric softener idea I can get my kids to do some of the work but they think I don't do my share. I wonder who did everything for them before.lol. Cleaning the bathroom is totally out for me. I do parts of chores at a time and then rest a bit. So at least I can see I have accomplished something. My goal is to do one major chore a day. After all, its not going anywhere, right

I need to try the fabric softener idea also. Does anyone have tricks for the ceiling fans? Also, I have the Lysol steam mop, I love it. No wringing mops, dries faster and alot easer to clean the floors. I have hardwood and it works on them too.

I clean my TV & computer monitor with used dryer sheets. they help with the static and they help keep dust from sticking to it so fast.

Celing fans....get hubby do to.

I love all of the ideas here and the signs are just too too funny . For the ceiling fan you can get a dust mop and swipe at them with it, it may not get all the dirt but maybe enough tha the rest won't show.I can't use dryer sheets(allergies) but like the idea of spraying the curtains, think I will use my Febreze. To keep my house clean I use teenagers they have lots of energy and get bored easily.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

we keep socks in mesh bags so that you do not have to sort them. Even my 5 year old puts his dirty socks in the bag and then the whole thing can be washed.

I like the sock idea. I'll have to try that one. My back hurts from bending down to get clothes out of the dryer so my dh is building me a stand so we can get the dryer up off the floor. I think that will help some and he is willing to do it if it keeps me from hurting.

I believe that a family is a unit that helps each other out my kids all have chores and everyone helps everyone without payment. It is not necessarily one person's job to do anything the home belongs to all of us. If one person pays for it then it is okay for the other to do more house work- but kids are in the equation, even babysitting etc. are part of helping each other. My husband/son do laundry and other physically challenging tasks and I do the phone work and computer work for the business, getting through this journey of life is about working together unselfishly. I may have my physical problems but each person has stumbling blocks they have to overcome. And the last thing I need as a mother is guilt about any task being "really my job" sometimes taking care of someone is delegating.
