Hi, I am a newbee and have fibro and RSd. I am on the patch at 75 mg. also Loratab and Cymbalta. Zanax when I can't stand the pain and it isn't timer for more meds. It does help.

Everyone has a different tolerance and one person may need 25mg while another may need 75 or 100. We all have to find out what works best for us.

I have gone through a lot of different meds to find some that helps some. I also go to hyperbaric Oxygen therapy 2x a year and that helps both.

Hi blueblazer,

Welcome You are the first one that I've heard talk about hyperbaric O2 therapy. Exactly what does it help with??

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

It puts more 02 in your body to help heal it. It helps the pain of RSd and FMI a lot. Sometimes I have gotten off all meds for months and sometimes I have at least have to take less meds and can get around better.

For 2 hours a day I breathe 100% oxygen. In the air we breath about 23%. Oxygen makes red blood cells and red blood cells are what heals the body. I go to a neurologist in Palm Harbor, Fl. He has 5-6 chambers in his office. the only problem is right now insurance does not cover this treatment. They cover strokes, smoke inhalation, diabetic sores that won't heal, ect.

I started Cymbalta one week ago. It is an antidepressant and they found out it helps diabetic neuropathy and FMI so I amtrying it. After a week no side effects, so that is good. Blueblazer

Please beware of the fentany patches. I was on them for a long time and was up to 100mg. I didn't realise the impact of the side effects until I started to try to get off of them. The withdrawal was horrible even though I did it extremely slowly with my doctors help. I didn't realize how much they had impacted the clinical depression. I almost lost everything,my marriage,my home and my sanity. I have found out that alot of my pain that I was blaming on the fibro was really from the depression. They helped me in the beginning, but for the long haul they are just not the solution.I wish you the best and I hope that you do okay with them.I just told you my story so you can beware of the pitfalls.
