MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Welcome to the group, I am 44 and I feel like my life is out of my control too. You just have to settle in and be thankful for small accomplishments. I cannot look at the things I cannot do, I must figure out a way around them. I have a hard time dealing with the fact that I have to depend on others for help.

I have pain when brushing my hair, so I just do the messy bun look. All the young girls are wearing it. The best part is that you don't have to wash your hair every day and you don't even have to brush it to pull it up. I used to be so cautious about my appearance---I just don't have the energy anymore and I am in too my pain. You will find lots of people here to talk to and lots of people that you have much in common with. So once again welcome

ccc

Hi Rebel and Welcome. I'm 46 yrs old and too feel like an old woman. Least that is what my 4 grandkids say.. Come on gramma...lets go...

I have learned over the years to not sweat the small stuff that doesn't get done, and just try to do your best. Hopefully you have understanding people around you for support. Take care and soft hugs to you

I understand about not being able to brush your hair without pain.Sometimes my muscles are so stiff I can't and thats when I either get someone to do it for me or grab a clip lol.

My moms taking me to get a hair cut in thenext week or two so I'm doing away with that problem. I'll just get something short and easy to style. Not that I have allot of hair because it has thinned so much from my Poly Cystic Ovarion Syndrome, and the Fibro. It's what I always wished for! Two health problems that can cause hair loss! I just laugh it off now, but in the begining it was so depressing.I used to have the hair so thick I could hardly find a hair tie big wnough for it all and now I use kid ones. I just laugh now and say when it looks bad I'll just shave it off and get a tattoo. I'll get a tattoo of the purple Fibro ribbon lol! It would be a little hard for people not to notice it there HA HA HA

Sorry for going off on hair loss but sometimes once my mind gets wondering theres no sopping it lol.
