Howdy - I am new to this group - but not to fibro.... I found out about 6 years ago as a "bonus" DX from a physiatrist - I suffered a brain injury and I was seeing him to deal with TBI issues. As I was leaving his office he simply stated - anyone ever tell you you have Fibro??

It made sense...

It hasn't slowed me down too much - except in the when I first wake up- I can be SOOO stiff in my back - I have to sit and let the muscles relax...

I do sleep carefully as well - pillow between/under knees - 4 inches of foam on the bed... (need to get a new bed one of these days)...

I work full time - and I am actively involved in our provincial board for cardio techs. I have an empty nest now (thank goodness I had my kids young!) with only a cat and dog to squeeze hubby and I off the bed...

I am also a type 2 diabetic and I have been hypothyroid since I was 15... all autoimmunte... oh - and I have rosacea... also autoimmune?? Interesting eh?? (yes, I am from Canada)...

Well - I am at work and they just called me to do and ECG - so off I scoot - break time is over...

Welcome to the group, I'm new also. Interesting that you are hypothyroid, I read yesterday that fibro is often caused from being hypo. I was diagnosed with hypo in Jan of 06 and fibro is Aug on 08.

Welcome bunnyo to our little group of fibromites. I too have been diagnosed with hypothyroid for the last 16 years. Interesting how we all seem to have some type of autoimmune disorder, huh? Hope is what gets me out of bed in the morning Teri,I agree with thomasann we al need hope even if it's just a little bit.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
