Hello. I am new here and to the site period. I am 36 and have was diangosed with fibro in Sept. 07. I have done a ton of research on it since finding out about it and have learned alot. I keep a running journal about my days at http://www.myfibrosite.com/users/bicngillette/home.html if any of you are interested in stopping by.

Since being diagnosed, I have also gone through training to become a certified Support Group Leader through the Arthritis Foundation. I will be holding meetings in my area in the near future, since there is no one else around who does it.

I deal with a ton of pain on a daily basis. Besides the fibro, I also have degenerative disc disease, which has me in chronic pain 24/7 along with the flares of the fibro.

I hope to meet some new people here and continue on my learning path of fibro while here.

Thanks so much for the warm welcomes so far.

Thomas we definitely can relate to the chronic pain then. Because of the ddd, I am not able to walk on my own. I have it in my lower spine and severe sciatic pain. I have used a walker for 3 years now and 99.9% of the days I feel like I am 100. It is very difficult for me to do things. Before moving to North Dakota almost a year ago, I always had an aide in my home to do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, run errands with me, go to appts. with me, etc. and the last year has been very trying as I cannot get that service here unless I pay through the butt for it. Thankfully I have a very supportive family who we have all worked together to make sure things get done around here. I also am not able to dress my lower self, I have all I can do to comb my hair, and I have not been able to sleep on a real bed since Christmas. I live in my recliner, because it is the only way I can get some sleep half way comfortably. Of course, that is when I can sleep lol. Anyways, I hope you are not as bad off as I am, although I know exactly what you are dealing with.

What part of Montana are you in Kaze? I am 30 miles from Montana border.
