How many of you that was prescribed Lyrica either your insurance company refused right away or 6 months later saying that they will not pay for it no more? I got a letter yesterday stating that my insurance will no longer cover Lyrica but they have been for the last 6 months or so. I can not understand the insurance companies or even the medical society. They say that Lyrica is for Fibro but then we have to put out almost $500 a month to pay for it. Most of us are in Social Security or fighting for it and we can not pay that each and every month! What do all of you think about this?

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you

I personally have never had that problem...but it may be coming around the corner?! I go to my pain doctor here in less than an hour and if I remember...(foggy), I'll ask him if he's heard of it and/or if he knows of any help we can get from the drug company. Oh..just remembered, some other fibbies have been taking the drug Nerotin (sp?)...so maybe your insurance would pay for that one instead! Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I ran in to the situation when I was on Lyrica for a short time. Medicaid paid for it the first month and then said it wasn't covered afterwards. You might try seeing if your doctor is willing to call your insurance company as that is what the pharmacist suggested for me.

If this doesn't work, you can also try these websites.

Thanks ladies for the ideas. I will talk to the pain doc tomorrow and if he can not help then I will try the websites.
