Hi all. My name is Kat and I'm new to this group and new to dealing with this condition. I was diagnosed about 2 months ago. I'm curious if anyone here is taking Lyrica and if its working for you. I'm noticing less pain, but I'm still all sorts of foggy--especially when I wake up. Any suggestions on how to deal with trying to get out of bed in the morning would be most appreciated!

WElcome Kat! I was on lyrica and had bad reactions to it. I was up to 600mgs a day. There is a long post here about lyrica and how it worked for some. If you look around you'll find it. It is near the top of one of the forums. I have to take my pain meds before I can get out of bed. It is the only thing that has helped me.

I think you will love the group! The people here are great and very caring. Glad that you are here! Take care.

Your Friend, Chris I'm having one of those days!lol

Hi, I take Lyrica, it's good for pain, but it makes me extremely drowsy. I can get up in the morning, but as soon as I take the Lyrica, I'm back to bed. I accept the drowsiness, as I couldn't function at all without the Lyrica. Good luck!
