I would like to say hi as well. And that I am glad that I have found a support group because I was needing support bad. I have been diagnosed with fibro for about a year and in the process Ihave had to quit my job. The pain has been so bad and getting up in the mornings and starting the day is awful. I also have a two year old that i would like to runn and play with but right now I can't. I am trying to change so meds around and get off of lyrica because of side effects, especially the 30 pounds I have put on in about two months. Then here comes the depression and on and on.

You will find a lot of support and understanding here and some wonderfully strong and brave men and women! Many of us have gained weight from Lyrica and other meds we've had to take for the fibro (look around the site and you will see several posts about this "heavy" topic!) I am sorry that you have had to quit your job...join the club on that one too! The good thing is that not working can allow time for some healing if you can take care of yourself and focus as much as possible on limiting physical and mental stress. I know how hard it is with a toddler...they are a handful even for "normal" moms! Know that your child loves you no matter what; you are still "mom" and no one can take your place.

Mornings are my worse time too...I think mornings are the hardest time of day for most of us. I have to start off the day slowly and gradually with my meds and coffee and "waiting time" until the pain meds kick in and my brain engages enough to function just a little.

You will learn a lot of useful and inspiring tricks to make daily living easier and more tolerable and hopefully find the right "cocktail" of meds and other therapies to help you feel better.

welcome to our family!

Welcome faithsms and all the new people, sorry i haven't been here alot lately and am behind in reading all the posts. Thought I would just welcome everyone in one post as I am fading slowly into a 'med fog". Y'all are going to love being here the people are excellent listeners, and we all walk the same path. Hoping to get to know all of ypu better.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

Faithsms, welcome! You may think at first that you aren't sure if this group is for you. Well, I am here to tell you that you will find some of the most amazing people here! I have had fm for 17yrs and have never felt the support like I have from here. (No offense to my family) I hope that you get all of your questions answered and that you feel free to vent, cry, joke around. We are here for you ~ and like the others say, there are a lot of tips on here as well.

Hi Faithsms, welcome. I wish I had found this group sooner but I'm sure glad I did now. The people here are understanding and supportive. It's wonderful to know that we don't have to suffer alone. I hope that you enjoy being here and find the help that you need.

Hi faithsms,

Welcome to the best support group you will ever find!

When you are having a bad day, one of us who is having an okay day, will be here to lift you up. If one of us is having a bad day, it might be you that makes all the difference.

We laugh here and we cry here. Sometimes member don’t sign on for weeks but when they come back, it is as if they never left. (kesslmama )

I hope you find what you need here. We all are living our lives with FM so never be afraid to ask ANY question you may have.
