I am excited about the opportunity to get to know all of you!

Primarily, I am here with the intent of learning new ways in which I can support my Mom. She was officially diagnosed with FMS approximately 15 years ago. Additional diagnoses include rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative disc disease. My mom has a primary care physician and a rheumatologist who work together closely.

I love reading and researching (can you tell by my board name?? ) and have read just about everything I can access regarding FMS, chronic pain, RA, etc. Seems to me medical science should have been able to make more advances in treatment options by now, especially since symptoms were first documented (by a physician) well over 100 years ago!

Second, I'm here to gain insight and support for myself. Within the past six months I've been diagnosed with "probable FMS".

I'm soo glad you found and joined us for yourself as well as you mom! It's a great place to ask, share, answer, vent, laugh and even cry! We're all here for each other and know that we can come here when we need a shoulder or want to tell all about something good as well.

When you are having a bad day, one of us who is having an okay day, will be here to lift you up. If one of us is having a bad day, it might be you that makes all the difference.

We laugh here and we cry here. Sometimes member don’t sign on for weeks but when they come back, it is as if they never left.
