Welcome Hampton! I'm glad you found this site. You'll find great support here. You'll also find people that need YOUR support. It's a neat place.

You have not found a doctor that knows something about Fibromyalgia yet. It may take a while to find someone that is knowledgable about the disease and is willing to try different treatments. This is not in your head. It is real. That was the first thing my current doctor told me that I needed to know in order to fight the pain. This is a real disease.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Jenni

i've seen 27 doctors with no real relief. i'm currently seeing a d.o. who specializes in finding toxins and treating with chelation and vitamins. i also have my family m.d. which at this point has me on lyrica and vicodin. seems to work most of the time. i also am seeing a hynotherapist to resolve any axiety issues and depression. good to have others to talk too looking forward to helping others if i can. thanks for the welcoming.

hi hampton,

i am so sorry that you are having troubles explaining ... there shouldn't have to be much of it.. but there is.

no one understands, my hubby watched it all happen, slow and sure. he watched our life changed from bar-b-que and beers with friends to today when he carefully crunched all my crackers tiny, because my jaws hurt to bad to chew, and put them in a half a can of chicken noodle soup.

its not all in your head, believe that. who would wish this on themselves?

i wish you all the best, there are some reeeeally good people here. so, being new myself, i welcome you too.

I use to print out info, and leave it in places where it would be read out of boredom... (no pressure) like in my hub's bathroom.... in his truck, just where you have nothing else to do... ya know? he does listen well, but its different when he is alone, and able to read the facts by himself.

I am real glad that he went to the dr, with you, that is a great start!

wish you a well day! and everyone!

what dr. in this day & age thinks it's all in your mind?

does he/she use newts & toads as well....

call your local medical society & make a complaint! it's the only way to get things changed
