I've been on disability with fibro/chronic fatigue for almost 6 years. I was accepted within 5 months but I was also diagnosed with extreme liver sarcoidosis at the time (permanent scarring disease, distant cousin of scleroderma). I was told I would need a liver transplant but insisted on 2 other opinions from sarcoid specialists. Thank God they disagreed on the transplant! Ultimately I had a gastric bypass to lose weight due to a fatty liver and all the weight I gained from taking steroids for 4 years for the sarcoid. I lost 100 lbs. and finally my liver stats were normal in 4/07! Still fight the fibro flares (I am on Cymbalta 120 mg. depression and fibro pain and it has helped tremendously). I am so praying the Cymbalta will aid the chronic fatigue (also on 900 mg. Trileptal for bipolar 2 with generalized anxiety disorder). I would love to return to work if I can escape the horrid fatigue which causes me to stay in bed sometimes for days on end.

I am so glad to have found this forum! Don't give up on your disability approval -- my girlfriend had to hire an attorney and won her approval and so can you!

God Bless!
