This disease has a lot of side effects and, yes, I get twitching. Sounds like you have a pinced nerve in your arm or shoulder. I think most with FM tend to be "tight" in the neck and shoulders. Perhaps a hand massager on your neck and shoulders or some shoulder rolling might help. If you do this, please don't overdo...

Matafleur,

I know it's not the medications.I'm not on any, I don't have medical insurance. I've not had my meds in a long while. Good looking out though. I wish it was, at least then I'd have pain medications.

Windy,

Thanks for the idea, I had my husband massage my shoulder since I read your reply. As of yet it has not helped at all. thank again. Acting silly is the only way to survive. PDW

Hi Guys,

I have the beginnings of familial tremors. When I get over tired, my neck (in back) will feel like there is a chicken turning on a spit over and over and my head will slightly bob. My hands will shake too. It's small, but noticable to me and only if I point it out to my husband. No one else has noticed it. My Dad has it also, but his are more pronounced. He is on a low dose of medication for it, I am not. His Doctor also told him to drink a glass of wine when he gets to a social function and this will calm the shakes. This is not harmful, I guess these are just tremors. I don't know if this is related to you, probably not, but keep some notes about this and about all of your symptoms, and when you get them. Maybe you can pinpoint when they are more apt tp happen and how to slow them down.

I have noticed that when I have to do things like fold laundry that my hands will shake a little and my head will bob a little too. I think that has something to do with my neck and back muscles. I also get twitches in some of my fingers sometimes. I don't really know what causes this, but I'm assuming it's muscle spasms. Even my muscles in my stomach will contract sometimes and you can even look at it move. It's really strange feeling when my muscles in my stomach do that.

Maybe it is spasms. I have those too. I just don't like it when you can't make it stop.

PDW, I get twitches in my left eye, thats the only place I have noticed them. Not sure if it does have anything to do with fibro, sorry Kaze
