I just found out yesterday that if I put the basket on my island in the kitchen that I do not have to bend and can fold most things without any difficulty. Sheets are a pain I've been thinking about washing and using the same set. Then I don't have to fold them. Then when they wear out just get another set from the linen closet but haven't done it yet.

I havn't done my laundry in three weeks but I don't think thats good advice lol.

I have to go to the laundrymat so it's very difficult for me to get my laundry done.

I guess the best thing you can do is take as many breaks as possible while folding if you get to do your laundry at home.

Vicky,

Fibromyalgia is such a life changing beast, but please do not be in despair! You have come to the right place for support. I am new here as well and have found relief just being "surrounded" by people who understand on such a personal level. It is great to have you here!

Amanda

Don't chop your hands off, that would not be good. We all could do what my son does just leave them in the basket. His theroy is that he is going to wear them that week anyway so why waste the time putting in a drawer when he can just pull them from the basket in his closet. Of course I don't live with him and he does own his own house so I can't really say very much. He also works landscaping so he lives in blue jeans and t-shirts. I petty his poor girlfriend if she becomes his wife she will probably blame me for his habits.

It'a so funny that of all the tasks we do, we would talk about folding laundry. I can't do it either. It hurts my arms so bad. I even told the doctor that I can't do it. I have found that putting it on the couch helps. As far as the sheets. I don't fold them very well, but after all, who looks in your linen closet. I had to learn to accept the things I could do and learn to accept the things I would never be able to do as well as I could before. I think fibro is a disease of acceptance. I am still trying to accept.
