MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Bshapiro, thank you for your post. That's my favorite book too. Until you put in that connection I hadn't thought of that at all.

Maybe I'll give the site another chance using that as a reference.

BethAnn, I may have overlooked some information so thanks for your input.

Cheers

Bethanne,

I have the same exact problem. No stage 4 sleep for me either!

Yes, reminds of the days many years ago, when I had new babies and they wanted to eat every two or three hours! Worth it though. But not now!

Dr. Whitcomb has at least one other chiropractor trained in the method and working with him, and a list of others wanting to learn. It is fairly new, and you know how long it takes in the medical community for something new to be accepted!

I know that chiropractors have helped many people with Fibro. This has not been the case with me. I'll stick with an MD and physical therapists. I too, am leary of anyone that professes to have the cure. I've been down many roads of treatment. I hope that after we're all gone and our children's children are adults, there will be an easy treatment for this.

Dr Whitcomb says that the way most chiropractors are adjusting the neck on fibro patients is almost the opposite of what really needs to be done, as far as I understand. That is why there is not the relief there could be. Plus, the special adjustments have to be made 2-3 times a day for a period of about 2 months, so that the vertebrae will finally stay in place. I think it is on the Sept. newsletter site on his webpage. I haven't had it done for me yet, but I have studied the webpage for hours and actually spoken to one of his patients who is still doing very well after several months being at home. I can't wait to go myself, and when I do, I will let everyone know how I am doing.

A very small number of his patients get well. The rest spend thousands of dollars only to relapse when they get home. I know - I was there for three months and know first hand.

Well if it comes to fixing my neck in place then I'm screwed! There has been no chiropractor to move at all since I had my duo-disectomy with fusion on c-5 and c-6. I achieve level 4 sleep by taking Elavil 100mg at night. I am always up for new meds or new methods, but I think it goes back to most of us have other things wrong with us than the fibro. If I am having a pretty good day, like yesterday,by the time I got done Christmas shopping,I was in so much pain in my neck and between my shoulder blsdes it felt like someone had hit me with a huge ball of fire! The fibro sets in the next day with the fatigue and the aching all over. It's a vicious cycle. I have tried alot of treatments and I have to agree with fibrosick and CJ.When my doctor recommends something that's when I'll know it's for real, because I am blessed with a great doc who is very knowledgeable about fibro and keeps up with the latest stuff. But I commend everyone for always looking for new meds and treatments.I haven't gave up,but if it's too good to be true, and it costs alot of money........be careful.
