MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is somewhere i feel safe i feel i can be myself and not be judged. I love the fact that i get to see that im not alone in what i am going through and i also get the chance to help others on their journey through guidance and communication.
I would truly be lost without MDJunction... to me its my savior, my personal place to go where i don’t feel so alone anymore in the world.

My name is Michele and I am 1 week in with being dx'd with Fibromyalgia even though I have had the pains noticeably since 1998. I am mom to 4 wonderful children, all of which have their own plate full with medical dx's.

My oldest CeCe is 12 going on 30 (lol). She has asthma and vWD type 1. She doesn't let anything bring her down as she is a Flag/Dancer with the Marching Band at her jr high. She also is in the NJHS and is my shining star!!!

My second child is Christian, but we all call him by his middle name, which is Dominick. He was born premature (35 weeks)and has been dx'd with severe Asthma, vWD type 2B, and ortho problems. He is a handsome devil!! He is such a smart boy and a joy to have around!!

My third child is Connor. He was also born premature at 34 weeks. He was very sick from the beginning. He has a list of dx's a mile long, but i will just name the ones he has had the most problems with. Heart Disease, Lung Disease, no immune system, severe reflux and vWD type1 severe. Connor is who reminds me that life is not as hard as it seems.. He has always smiled no matter what.. He makes my heart melt!!

My youngest id Carlee. She was also born premature at just 28 5/7 weeks. She spent some time in the NICU and is always sick it seems with one thing or another. Her dx's consist of Epilepsy, vWD type 1, cyst in her brain, Autistic tendencies and behaviors (but not Autism), SPD, Language impaired, Heart Disease, Lung Disease, inability to hold specific immunizations, ortho problems, Gastric problems, and so many more.

Me, i have the dx of Fibro and thats about it right now. i think I have grown out of everything else I have ever been dx'd with, well beside those feisty allergies...

More about me.. I am a SAHM and I homeschool my 2 boys, and will start to homeschool the baby next school year. I have been told that I am a very friendly and caring person and I try to believe it. I enjoy researching anything. I love anything medical. It just fascinates me to no end!!

If you have any questions ask away..

Welcome Michele, It sounds as if you have your hand full. I have 6 children and 3 of them were born premature. My 2year old dd was ony 3.5 lbs, my 3 year old son was 3.0 lbs and my 8 year old was 4.5lbs. The smaller 2 spent time in the nicu also. It was a very difficult time. They are doing ok now. They have some medical issues but nothing life threatening. I don't know how you do it!

I hope that you enjoy the group and find it as helpful as I have! It is a great place to get support and give some too!

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family, Chris

Your Friend, Chris
