MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

I'm up with this pain and just venting really. I remember when I was going through my divorce I was pregnant with baby no. 6 I had been a stay at home mom through out my marriage. I was so scared. I thought it was the toughest thing I'd go through. It wasn't.

I keep fighting the fight; listening to my body trying to excercise which seems impossible most days. I go to the doctors and ask for help which it seems they think I can snap out of it. I'm just so depressed. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm tired. I'm so freaking tired of fighting but I must go on. How can we be expected to live with this with so little help. Pain management says they don't treat fibro except with muscle relaxers and sleep meds and anti depressants. I'm really scared that I'm ruining my liver with all this ibuprofen I take. But what else can I do I have to live. This is one of those nights when nothing is working. I pray that God can help me find the strength to go on. I have so much to live for. I just want to enjoy life every so often, you know?

Good Morning Sweet FibroFox. Welcome to the group of wonderful people with so much support, you will be overloaded with Love.

You know, when I was working full time, just up until last month, I was taking at least 15 motrin, 4 Excedrin, 6 Tylenol arthritis, etc. on a daily basis. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or naproxen, which successfully dampen muscular pain (but seldom eliminate it).

You really may want to consider a doctor that treats you like you should be treated, that would be the first step. You also need to slow down on the NSAID intake. They can often damage your liver if taken in excess. I remember taking 3-4 before my eyes were even open before going to work. I would take this before I would even take my Thyroid Meds. LOL.

One drug for Fibro you may want to consider is Savella. It has an antidepressant as well. I am now on Savella, and have not felt any side effects yet. I have read about it also, and Savella does not give a hangover feeling the next day, no weight gain, no dry mouth, etc.

Be armed with your choices when you visit your doctor. Be an advocate in your own health honey, they are not going to beat down your door to help you, trust me.

6 kiddos, wow. What are their ages?

I also have a link here on Savella, check it out. In the meantime, try and slow down on the NSAID's, they can be dangerous for you if you take too many, and the relief is only temporary, if you get any after taking them for so long and often. I am just talking from my own experience.

Welcome again to this wonderful forum.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

I am just like you and I am on MDJ for support and true friendship. Please, always consult with your doctor about medical advice and medication, never take one's opinion regarding your most precious asset which is your life.

Life with fibro is not an easy one. The bad thing is that people do not relize that we are so sick and lots of time we do not get the help or support that we need. I am amazed that you are handeling 6 kids alone, I have 4 and it takes us both, but we do what we have too don't we. I hope that you are feeling better. If you have mds that are not giving you the support and meds that you feel you need, there are plenty more out there. I hope that you are feeling better soon, please feel free to vent anytime and if you ever need to talk, just shoot me a pm.

Hi Fibrofox, A lot of the pain is nerve pain which is the worst pain of all. If you can get to a fibromyalgia center/doctor that will help. I do not know how you handle 6 kids. My pain is so bad I can barely feed the dog, and even lying in bed I am rubbing and rubbing my thighs..This thigh pain started 2 years ago. It was just my feet and low back. You need better meds, so try to make an appt as soon as you can and as bc1028 said be your own advocate. You can write me anytime at a pm. raindrop

Welcome to the group Fibrofox! This is the best place to come to for support and understanding. There is always someone that can relate to exactly what you are going through. I think it's very important to have a doctor that will treat your pain adequately. It doesn't make sense that you should have to suffer needlessly. It took me some time to find a good doctor but they are out there and worth the effort.
