I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2006 and still cannot get the correct treatment. And I am at a lost on what to do next. My symptoms are getting worse. I feel like at times the fatigue could make me collapse. The pain has gotten worse in my legs and feet. I have seen a Rheumatoid Arthritis Doctor, Internist, Primary Care Physician. Many prescriptions tried. What should I do next?

I know the fatigue can be overwhelming, but have any of your doctors recommended some type of low impact exercise, or going to a pool and doing some water aerobics...What medications have you taken?

Hi Smiths, I too have had Fibro for 15 years or more? This last episode was 5 months long on the real bad side. Have the doctors tried you on the Lryica? I just started it and I am having alot of nausea with it. I am hoping it will go away with time. And I am still having to take pain pills with it. So I am not so sure yet if it will work for me. But everything is worth a try...Kaze

I have been on so many different medicines that I'm tired of going to the doctor's. Before being diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was being treated for RLS. And many of the medications for RLS they've also tried for the Fibro pain.I've been on at least 5 different depression medications and now they have me on Cymbalta. There are not many doctors around here who treat fibromyalgia or want to. The Internist I went to blows it off as normal aches and pains. So I've gone back to my primary care who at least believes it's a real problem, and is trying to help me.She just doesn't have any background with this condition.Right now I feel like I'm at a lost.

Hello everyone! I am new here. I was diagnosed with fibro. about four years ago. However, I now believe I have had this much longer. I went through so many doctors and tests I have lost count. I found my way here today after a really depressing day and just needed to find someone to talk to that could maybe understand. My chiropractor suggested that I soak in a tub of very warm water with 2 cups epsom salts, and 1 cup baking soda. I soak for 20 minutes. It has helped to relieve some really terrible muscle pain. Maybe this can help someone else. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and wish you all well.

Hello Red2 and I am so glad you found your way to us. I too found this group one morning when the kids went to school and I was feeling lonely and sad. I'm glad you have enjoyed the postings you have read and I am going to try soaking in the tub tonight with what you suggested. Again welcome, I am happy to have you,

Sandi

Hi Sandi I hope the soaking will help you some. I read your profile. I also suffered from whiplash some years ago. I always wondered if this could have been the start of my problems. I have osteoarthritis is my neck now. I also have carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists. I have major TMJ problems and did have many migraines. I now have to wear mouth guards both day and night. This has helped a tremendously. I still have nearly daily headaches, but these have been controllable and not near as many migraines. Sorry so long. I guess I could go on and on. As I'm sure all of you could too. But, it is nice to talk to someone. I wish you well.

Cynthia
