Hi - I'm from the bipolar group, but noticed someone was asking about excessive wind from this group! So joined just to offer my input (or should I say output)!!

I have suffered painful bloating and wind for many years. Have often tried different things in my diet but found that all the specialist advice made things worse, especially fruit, and fibre and bio-yogurts I have finally descovered that the main cause for me, is dehydration and fruit and red meat. Now that I have cut out meat and most fruit from my diet, as well as drinking atleast 1 litre of water a day, I have far less wind and I go most days without any boating. Before, it was dreadful esp when I had period pain too. It's funny because vegetarians are supposed to be real farty people butI am the opposite! Then again I don't eat lentils which are just lethal Hope this is useful. xx

I get alot of bloating. It is horrible. I am supposed to eat lots of fruits and veges for cholesterol. I love them but I think they contribute to the gas.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.
