Devon, I hate calling my doctor. I told the nurse the other day that soon they will recognize my voice as soon as I say hello, I only just started to go to this new doctor in January so I guess that is why I am still a bit timid about calling. I agree with you though that it is better to be safe than sorry.

I have to tell you this as I think it is funny. When my kids (4 of them) were little I was always calling their pediatrician for one thing or another. Well about 9 yrs ago my daughter had a baby that was always crying in pain. One night while she was at my house he was really screaming, I told her she should call the ped - same place I took them when they were small. She went to get the phone book and I automatically recited the phone number. I was astounded. I told her to check the number in the book and sure enough that was it. That just goes to show how often I called. It was a least 32 yrs since I had dialed that number.

LOL,OMG THE PHONE # THING IS SO FUNNY. I WAS TELLING MY HUSBAND THE OTHER DAY, SINCE I HAVE SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS THAT I GUESS IS CALLED FIBROFOG, THAT SOONER OR LATER THE THINGS I FORGET WILL GO TO THE LONG TERM MEMORY OF MY BRAIN AND THEN I'LL REMEMBER THE SHORT TERM THIHGS.

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE ?LMAO

I get the heart beat in the ear when I lay down to sleep at night and especially if I'm anxious about trying to fall asleep, major insomniac and I just hurt so bad when I lay down, always feel like I'm laying on rocks on my hips.. I guess I hurt when I sit and stand too though As for the wrist pain, I do have major wrist pain ALL the time, I barely tap it or bend my wrist and it fewels like I'm breaking it, now, I did crush it between a fallen futon and the wood floor moulding in the living room, but it has never ever gotten better or stopped hurting, this was before my DX in October of lastr year, I have mentioned it to doc but he says he thinks it's nerve pain but but it feels broken! Never had an Xray, does anyone know if it just takes longer to heal with the fibro? I'm really concerned that I broke it when it got crushed and thatit just won't heal,it's almost the worse pain on some days, it's awful! Not trying to whine, sorry ladies

Ruby, I don't know if it takes longer to heal when you have Fibro, but you should get that wrist X-rayed. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't order one.

It's funny how so many of us have that heartbeat sound in our ear. I always thought it was just me

Should mention that I have always been a slow healer and now that I think about it it seems like my healing after surgeries had started taking longer once I started getting all the pain, fatigue, weakness, etc., associated with FMS and this was all before I was finally dx'd with Fibro about a yr ago.

HI DEE

I am very new to the group and I was just browsing when I saw rist pain. I have rist pain all the time. There are so many pains I'm over whelmed. It's nice to know this is one pain I know I have not imagined. Right there with you. I am still learning how to move around on this site, not sure if I;m doing it right.
