Hmmm I never knew about tachycardia but looked it up and it said heart beat of over 100 per minute, wonder if I might have that too mine was 111 resting heartbeat on my treadmill test at Doctors but they never called it tachycardia only said it was very high

Maybe this is another link between all us fibrofolk I wonder if it could be contributing to our pain like maybe pumping stress hormones or something

I would love to do a study and see just how many things we really all have the same, maybe we could make one on this site.

Is tachycardia the same as your pulse? I sometimes feel like my heart is pounding in my ears. At those times it is very hard to breath.

Crystal, welcome to the group. I am so new here that I don't have much to add, except that everyone is very caring and welcoming. I can't tell you about exercise because I don't do much. I do walk on the treadmill when I can but not often. I take vicodin when the pain gets to me too much.

I also have tachycardia. My usually resting heartbeat is 120, I had to quit using the treadmill because of it going up over 180. My doctor gave me a beta blocker to help slow it down, I go back to see him next week so we shall see if it is working or not then. Alot of mine is stress induced. I get stress induced migraines all the time. My husband tells me not to worry about stuff (like how we will pay for my medical stuff) that it is his job to worry about it, but I can't help it, it scares me to death.

Hi Crystal. Welcome!! I have had some luck with yoga. I just got one of those beginner dvd's from walmart and a yoga mat and do it at home. Im not a gym goer and I've found that very light cardio and a yoga work out helps to loosen up and strengthen muscles. Its relaxing as well, which also helps! The most important thing with exercise is to not over do it. You do need to gradual push yourself but know what your limits are and dont go much beyond that.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the group! I'm also a "newbie".

Some with FM get relief from Yoga or walking. Exercise and I just plain don't get along. I have other health issues that make exercise a "no-no" as well.

Trial and error seems to be the way to go. It's a shame, though, that you'll have to endure a flare to determine what works for you.

Hugs...

I am on a lot of narcotic pain pills! That's what works for me and after 10 years of being a 'lab rat'...I've learned to be content with myself!

As far as exercise...do you like to dance???

I have been on several different meds to control my tachycardia. Right now I take DILTIAZEM 180MG. I just took my b/p resting and taking my meds, my pulse is 93. That is good for me. If I dont take the meds, it is between 110-145. Now I have been wondering how many problems that we all do have in common.
