MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

i'm new to the group. i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia three years ago.

since then i have been on several medications including ultram, tramadol, darvocet, lortab, lorcet, lyrica, paxil and cymbalta.

i also have a couple of other serious illnesses. i have diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. so, i take a lot of meds during the day.

today is a very bad pain day, between that and having trouble breathing from the ipf, i spend a lot of time either just sitting or in bed.

because of the ipf i can not exercise, which makes weight loss very hard.

i did gain quit a bit of weight with the lyrica i take 200mg. twice a day.

i also take predisone for the ipf and that made me gain weight too.

anyway, i am looking forward to getting to know you all.

have a great day.

Welcome! It sounds like you've got quite a lot on your plate. Keep your chin up, the people here are pretty quick to respond, very friendly and helpful.

Weight gain, for whatever the reason, really sucks unless of course you're trying to gain weight and not many people are.
