I'M NEW TO THIS SIGHT ALSO. I'M GLAD I FOUND A NEW PLACE TO VENT TO BESIDES MY WRITING IN A NOTEBOOK. AND BESIDES BEING TIRED ALL THE TIME AND SORE. I HAVE LOST ME URGE FOR INTERCOURSE , BECAUSE I ALSO HAVE HAD A HYSTORECTOMY. AND MY HUSBAND DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THIS. HE THINKS I DON'T FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE ANYMORE WHICH IS NOT TRUE. THEN I DON'T HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE, I HAD PASSPORT BUT WHEN MY SON TURNED 18 IN SEPTEMBER THEY TOOK IT AWAY. AND I'M GOING BEFORE ADMINISTRATIVE LAW FOR DISABILITY. BUT I HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT'S UP? TALK TO ME PLEASE. TRISHA

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site also, just joined yesterday. I have had fibro for 10 years and this has been the worst year. My boyfriend is supportive, but he really doesn't understand and keeps telling me I need to go to the doctor and get some medicine...it's so hard to explain it to someone and when I try to show him things on the internet or in books, it's almost like he shuts down. He's pretty good about helping out around the house and stuff so I can't complain and I really force myself to do things but seriously all I want to do when I get home from work is crawl up on the couch and do NOTHING else! I hate being so tired and in pain all the time...I use to teach jazzercise and didn't have an ounce of fat on my body...hmmm, now forget it, the only exercise I get is walking and that's only barely...this is just so frustrating...I've had friends say to me, well if you just quit being so lazy you won't feel like this...oh boy, I want to crawl in a hole after hearing that! Thank you all for being here!

Thanks Suzee...you all see awesome! I was just reading the posts about creating awareness about fibro...that is so awesome. I am walking in the Arthritis Foundation Walk in May and my main goal is raise awareness of this beast we call FIBRO! I think going on Opra, Dr. Phil, Montel...all great ideas and I'm not shy either...I'm somewhat of an activist and have often said why is there not more information about FMS out there? I just don't understand it so I'm on board and will support and help any way that I can! I am really glad to have found this site!

Thaks for all the Hello's, it's so nice to have so many of you welcoming me and all the other newbe's. I had a doctor's appt. today, and there was a medical student there, ya know they come in before the doc. Anyways, he rambled on and on about how I need to see a pychiatrist. That makes me sooooo mad! Are they saying it's in my head, and he's not the first to do so, so I think I'm even more sensitive to it. Ya I'm depressed, yup, it's in my chart, but that's not why I'm in excruciating pain. So then I start crying cuz I'm frustrated and insulted, and it makes me look even more unstable. If these doc's lived one day in our shoes, then maybe they'd get it. Anyways, they are starting me on Kadian, anyone know about it? It's a high dose, 200mg, cuz I'm opiate tolerant. But I'm scared, cuz it's such a strong med, and it will last 24 hrs. What if it makes me sick? Any advise? Sweetbean

Sweetbean, you should know if you're depressed or not enough to see a psychiatrist. That med student is way out of line in my opinion. I'm so sorry you were treated like that. Take it with a grain of salt honey. I have not tried the drug you were prescribed. My doc gave me ELAVIL at 25 mg each night. I was just diagnosed last week "officially". I've apparently had it for over 10 years (nice eh?). Well, I'm glad you found us and so glad you joined this is a great group of people, I love it here.
