Hi everyone,

This is my first time here. I am very relieved to find a place that has other people who might understand just exactly what I am feeling.

Most days all I can do is sit in my chair. ANd even then I hurt. I feel so guilty not doing housework. The house is a total disaster.

Is being tired ALL the time part of this fibromyalgia? I really don't know much about this stuff.

Anyway, I am glad t be here.

Welcome to the group. "Do you have 2 cats?- I do!!"

Anyway it varies from person to person. For me the fatigue is the worst. For some the pain is the worst. Most days I struggle with fatigue. I haven't found something yet- drugs or supplements that seem to increase my energy. Now yesterday and today were different. For some reason I did not feel as much fatigue but I can't tell you why.

Alot of us suffer with the guilt thing. Alot of us have been overdoers in our lives and this is a way our bodies have gotten screwed up. All I can say is it is really important for you to find ways to take care of yourself and work on not feeling guilt. You can't control having fibro and you are not lazy. You are fatigued and in pain and it is really hard to even get some of the simpliest things done when you feel that way.

You'll have other people welcoming you. Read posts and see what we are all dealing with. It might give you some ideas as to things to try and help you. It will give you a save place to air your feelings about this bizzare disorder we are all trying to live with!!!! Hope to get to know you better and again welcome!!!!

Yes, I do have 2 cats. A tuxedo cat who weighs in at 24 pounds (10yrs) and a brown tabby who is abut 4 pounds (5 years). My husband and I also take care of a colony of ferals.

I have been looking at the other forums too. Is there a place here that the discussions are live?

Well not really although usually you would get a welcome wagon of hits from other members- sorry you'll probably get that tomorrow. We have over 500 members. I think most people read forums and then respond if they have something to add. It you enter a forum subject and post- you will automatically get future posts as they appear on that topic.

Lots of good information here as well as commited people living with fibro. The discussions are interesting and informative whether you are newly diagnosed or you've had it for a while.

I hope that answers you questions -2cats- click on some forum topics and see the MASSIVE amount of questions and a followup answers. I've had fibro for about 12 years and I have learn a great deal from these folks. I've also connected with friends who I email and talk with on a regular basis by way of private messages- pms they are called. I've been to other groups on line but something about this one is special. Take a look around and see what it has to offer!!!

Welcome to our little family, garedneck and 2cats, you will find some of the most amazing caring and understanding people her. Some of us use yahoo to IM each other and we all use PM,which is kind of like email. Look around and post away we all feel the same pain and fatigue.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
