Neurontin and lyrica help with nerve pain - neuropathy. I have neuropathy. I got nerve tests and it showed 4 pinched nerves. My neurontin was upped and I was put on high level of nsaid also. . Now Im getting shots where pain was worse.Different than reg, triggerpoint injections. This was 7 shots around the area that hurt bad. It was some kind of anethesia. Anyway it helped a lot.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

I just read your post. I have not tried Lyrica yet but I have been on neurotin for 14 months now. Maybe they could lower my dose of neurotin if they put me on Lyrica. I take to much medicine. I'm worried about my liver and how it could react. How much Neurotin do you take? My doctor and Neurologist increased my dose from 300mg 3x's a day to 3 300mg's 3x's a day. Plus I take 4mg's of zanaflex 3x's a day. That is for ppl w/ spinal cord injuries. Plus I use Cymbalta, Elavril, Naproxen,Arthritis strength Tylenol

You probably shouldnt take lyrica and neurontin at same time. Only one of them. I use 2400 mgs of the neurontin. I also use the zanaflex 3x a day for muscle spasms. I use celexa for sleep, Ibrophen800 3x aday for pinched nerves and ra, plus things for cholesterol, asthma, and sinus problems.

If you read my post there are several treatments dr's use to treat FM. I would recommend massage therapy and a chiropractor for the sciatic problem. Usually, the two can happen in the same place. I like Hydrotherapy the best. It is a waterbed that shoots water up and down your whole body. I also use relaxation techniques w/ aromatherapy: sage and citrus for a focused, energized state. Lavender and thyme for a relaxed dream state. Hope this helps.

I will pray for you. I have occupational asthma and feel horrible for anyone who has it. This chatting experience has made me feel a little useful again. I don't feel as bad somehow. It becomes obvious there are a lot of hurting ppl in the world who are just as confused about this than I am.
