I can't sit at a desk so I got a laptop with a wireless router. I can lay on the couch and chat away or play computer games and I love it. It is the best thing I have ever bought for myself. Before the laptop I felt totally isolated. I got mine it's an Acer and I got it at Wal-Mart ofr $350 and bought the wireless router for about $40 bucks. I highly recommend it,it will give you freedom to use the computer without aggrevating your pain.

I'm w/ you kychick - love the laptop & wireless router! It's especially great if you have kids & need to keep an eye on their internet access. whoever invented the laptop is one of my heroes...I can be in bed, on the couch, in the kitchen, wherever I want and still be chatting with all of you!

Cathy, I do hope you can get some relief for your pain. You are in my prayers ~

I hurt more driving and watching tv. But usually when I am at a level 10 I just wake up that way or get that way at night for no reason at all.

Hot baths sometimes helps when it gets too much if it doesnt help the pain sometimes it helps with stress. Take care you : )

I dont have a laptop so i too suffer thru the pains of desktop frustration. i have a good chair and i try to sit up straight as much as possible, but i still get to 8 and 9s sometimes with the computer. My worst pain like a lot of ppl is in the morning, i wake up and i feel like a some took me out and beat me silly. The only good side is that my CFS makes me ten times more tired in the mornings so even if i do hurt like hell, i can usually go back to sleep.

Cathy,

I am so sorry you weren't feeling well yesterday. I hope that today brings some relief for you.

I hate that fibro has taken from all of us the enjoyment of doing the simplest things that we may have taken for granted for years, that we can no longer enjoy doing anymore. So we really have to appreciate our "good" day, and I hope that you have one real soon!

when i reach a ten i hit the narcotics hard. it is the onl way i can get through the pain. the cfs only makes the pain worse because it doesn't matter how i lay it hurts. sometimes i wrap myself in a comforter on the couch and it is sort of like being in a cocoon and warm and comfortable, as long as i don't move. the hot bath or messaging shower seem to make all of the tingling worse for me. good luck and hope you feel better soon.
