[b]After many months of going without a diagnosis I finally got it. I have Fibromyalgia. I am 30 years old mother of 2 kids and have been very much in pain for months. It all got worst after the birth of my 9 month old baby. I am here to learn more about this syndrome and to have and give support.

Thank you!

Karina

that's interesting b/c i was beginning to think i was the only one who was suffering from this at 30...the thing that makes me nervous though is that a lot of people seem to say it got worse after they had kids, and we don't have kids yet. we were beginning to think seriously about it right before all this happened and b/c they were worried that it was originally lupus, we put all that on hold while we tried to get this under control.

do you think you had symtoms you didn't notice before, or does it really get that much worse after having a baby?

Hi! I was just dx this week and Im only 25! I also was tested for lupus...three times in two years actually. My husband and I just got married and were planning on waiting a couple of years for kids, but now I'm really not sure. And to be honest, I want kids SO badly, but Im not sure if I can feasibly do that, especially if its going to get worse...

Thank you all,

I have been having symptoms for years but since I have a long history of weird symptoms the Docs couldn't pin point to just one thing. Maybe I should just copy and paste my bio from another support group. Its very long and don't wanna bore anyone here. Anyway, Everything got really bad after the birth of my son. I suffer from High Blood Pressure and that has been another problem of mine.

I've had fms since I was a teenager and way back then no one knew anything about fms. I am so glad you all don't have to go through what I went through. It's strange but I actually felt better when I had all the pregnancy harmones in my system. When I have felt the best is after each of my three children were born. My husband accuses me of wanting more just so I will feel better. My youngest is 4, almost 5 now and I feel awful. I was able to start exercising after the birth of each child and keep it up for a couple of years. I don't know what I would do without my children. If you realy want children I don't think you should let this illness rob you of that joy. I had fibro when my children were born so they don't know any difference. We haven't ever gotten the kids involved in as many activities as most other parents do and they haven't missed out on anything because of my illness. We even homeschooled a few years and it was good. you learn to work with your limitations.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.

I actually felt better and full of energy while pregnant. I think the hormones do help a lot. This is all new to me thought, I thought I was just a weak body and that is why I was in so much pain. I haven't been able to excersize. I am getting tested for seizures because When I gotvery ill last August that is how it all started, I passed out a few times for no apparent reason. Have any of you gotten seizures and it has been linked to FMS?
