Hi, I was just diagnosed with FMS this past Wednesday.

I was somewhat relieved to know I wasn't going to die

but reality of this condition is settling in. I am close to the Saint Louis MO area and would love to know if there is a support group anywhere in the area.

Any pointers or help would be appreciated.

thanks.

J

Welcome to the group! I am not sure of any support groups in St Louis, but you might be able to check with the local Arthritis chapter - they may have a group for people with fibro or may be able to help point you in the right direction. Otherwise, feel free to use this site. There is a lot of great info here. Feel free to ask ?'s, vent, be silly, whatever you need, we are here. Best of luck to you as you start on your journey to learning how to live with fibro.

Welcome to the group J. This is the best place for support and you should definitely stick around. Feel free to ask questions, comment, cry, scream, or do whatever you want. We get it.

Welcome to thgis site. We are a caring group who understands what you are going through. I dont know that area to know about any in person support group. I just found out there is one in my area. My daughter and I are going to go. What a way to have "fun" together.
I have dystonia, neuropathy, gerd, arthritis, and fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and other ailments. I enjoy embroidery, music, and reading my Bible and Christian books. I love to bake. I try to be very supportive and positive.

welcome to this wonderful site. I think this site is even better sometimes than a group where you have to get out of the house and get dressed and everything. I llove that I can get on here anytime and have people who understand and offer advice and comfort. I do hope you find a group in your area. I don't think I could get out and go to one right now but maybe one day I will be able to.

thanks for the info. I feel relieved to know this pain isn't in "my Head" but also sad to know it will be with me for a lifetime. I have three kids and that is what I am worried about the most. I think this sight has already made me feel better knowing I am not alone, Far from it

check out a couple places and see if they can help you! www.caringmedical.com and then there is a place here in Springfield my husband went to for his neck called Upper Cervical. I don't know their website. OH hubby just found it. www.uppercervicalcare.com He is so sweet when he wants to be! LOL

I didn't take it well when my dr. told me I have to live the rest of my life like this. I won't they will find a way to cure me and I will pray everyday for God to help me be strong and work thru this or please take it away.

If there is anything I can do please feel free to PM me anytime.

have a great day or night..

Lana
